National University System Of Taiwan
The National University System of Taiwan (NUST; ) is a Taiwanese University alliance led by the National Chung Hsing University in Central Taiwan. NUST was approved by MOE on April and formally established on 8 November, 2021. Members History Year founded Academics Admissions In response to the sub-replacement fertility and derived admissions problem, national universities which located in Central Taiwan proposed the establishment of "National University System of Taiwan" (NUST), in order to integrate academic resources, achieving higher competitiveness for each school. The NUST plans joint enrollment in future, like University System of Taiwan (UST) and Taiwan Comprehensive University System (TCUS), meanwhile allowed students inter-collegiate course taking, only if registration on one of the member school. Changhua
Changhua (Hokkien POJ: ''Chiong-hòa'' or ''Chiang-hòa''), officially known as Changhua City, is a county-administered city and the county seat of Changhua County in Taiwan Province of the Republic of China. For many centuries the site was home to a settlement of Babuza people, a coastal tribe of Taiwanese aborigines. Changhua city is ranked first by population among county-administered cities. It is part of the Taichung–Changhua metropolitan area, which is the second largest in Taiwan. Historically, Changhua city was a base for the Han Chinese when they invaded Taiwan against the Taiwanese aborigines, constructing a fortress built out of bamboo. Changhua has a nickname of "Bamboo Town". Changhua is best known for its landmark Great Buddha Statue of Baguashan. At 26 metres tall, the statue sits atop Bagua Mountain overlooking the city. Nanzih District
Nanzih District, United States National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (also spelled Nanzi; ) is a district located in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It was the northernmost district of Kaohsiung City until Kaohsiung County was merged into the municipality in 2010. Nanzih offers convenient access to transportation, including a train and bus station and an interchange on the Sun Yat-sen Freeway. Moreover, it also contains the Nanzih Industrial Zone. Douliu (Hokkien POJ: ''Táu-la̍k'') is a county-administered city and the county seat of Yunlin County, Taiwan. It is also the political and economic center of the county. Douliu City is served by National Highway No. 3. Name Its former name () came from a language of the Hoanya people, a tribe of the Taiwanese plains aborigines. National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (YunTech or simply NYUST, ) is a university of science and technology in Taiwan. Founded in 1991 and located in Yunlin County. Yunlin County
Yunlin County (Mandarin pinyin: ''Yúnlín Xiàn''; Taigi POJ: ''Hûn-lîm-koān''; Hakka PFS: ''Yùn-lìm-yen'') is a county in western Taiwan. Yunlin County borders the Taiwan Strait to the west, Nantou County to the east, Changhua County to the north at the Zhuoshui River, and Chiayi County to the south at the Beigang River. Yunlin is part of the Chianan Plain, a flat land known for its agriculture. Agricultural products of Yunlin County include pomelo, tea leaves, suan cai, papaya and muskmelon. Huwei Township () is an urban township in Yunlin County, Taiwan. It has a population of about 70,269. Name In the 17th century, during the Dutch era, '' Favorolang'' was one of the largest and most powerful aboriginal villages in Taiwan. The name has also been spelled ''Favorlang'', ''Favorlangh'', and ''Vovorollang''. Its location was north of Tirosen (modern-day Chiayi), and the Favorlang river had been called by the Chinese ''How-boe-khe'' () during the reign of the Qing Yongzheng Emperor (ca. 1722 – 1735). National Formosa University (NFU; ) is a technical university in Huwei, Yunlin, Huwei District, Yunlin County, Taiwan. It is the only university in Taiwan to include the historical name of Formosa in its title. NFU was established in Huwei Township in 1980. The National United University (NUU; ; Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Kwet-li̍p Lîen-ha̍p Thài-ho̍k'') is a public university in Miaoli City, Miaoli County, Taiwan. History The school (then a two-year private junior college) started its first semester in September 1972 as Lien Ho Industrial and Technological Junior College. The college was the only higher education institution in the Miaoli region at the time. On 1 August 1973, it was renamed to Lien Ho Junior College of Technology. In 1992 the college was renamed Lien Ho College of Technology and Commerce.
