Natalja Jonckheere (born 21 October 1970) is a retired Belgian high jumper. She finished ninth at the 1988 World Junior Championships, tenth at the 1989 European Indoor Championships. twelfth at the 1989 World Indoor Championships, ninth at the 1995 World Indoor Championships and tenth at the 1998 European Indoor Championships. She also competed at the 1994 European Championships and the 1995 World Championships without reaching the final. She became Belgian champion in 1988, 1991, 1994 and 1995. Her main domestic competitor was Sabrina De Leeuw. High Jump
The high jump is a track and field event in which competitors must jump unaided over a horizontal bar placed at measured heights without dislodging it. In its modern, most-practiced format, a bar is placed between two standards with a crash mat for landing. Since ancient times, competitors have introduced increasingly effective techniques to arrive at the current form, and the current universally preferred method is the Fosbury Flop, in which athletes run towards the bar and leap head first with their back to the bar. The discipline is, alongside the pole vault, one of two vertical clearance events in the Olympic athletics program. It is contested at the World Championships in Athletics and the World Athletics Indoor Championships, and is a common occurrence at track and field meets. Sabrina De Leeuw (born 19 August 1974) is a retired Belgian high jumper. She won the 1993 European Junior Championships, and the gold medal at the 1997 Jeux de la Francophonie, She also competed at the 1993 World Championships without reaching the final. She was given the Golden Spike Award in 1993. She became Belgian champion in 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Her main domestic competitor was Natalja Jonckheere, before Tia Hellebaut took over the hegemony. De Leeuw also became French champion in 1998 and 2000. Norderney ( nds, Nördernee) is one of the seven populated East Frisian Islands off the North Sea coast of Germany. The island is , having a total area of about and is therefore Germany's ninth-largest island. Norderney's population amounts to about 5,850 people.
