Nansha Railway Station
Nansha railway station () is a railway station currently under construction in Nansha District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. History Two railways currently under construction, the Nansha Port railway, and the Shenzhen–Zhanjiang high-speed railway, will pass through this station. Nansha Port railway Nansha railway station on Nansha Port railway started construction in March 2021. All trains will pass through this station without stopping when the Nansha Port railway opens in late 2021. Future Development A further two planned railways, the Guangzhou–Macao high-speed railway, and the Zhaoqing–Nansha intercity railway, will also serve this station. Nansha, Guangzhou
Nansha District and Nansha New Area is one of 11 urban districts and a state-level new area of the prefecture-level city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, China. It is the home of the present-day port of Guangzhou, as well as the Nansha Wetland Park. The Nansha Technology Development Zone was carved out of Panyu District in 1993. In 2005, it was named Nansha District. In September 2012, Nansha was designated a State-level New Area as Nansha New Area, the sixth such area. Nansha Port Railway
The Nansha Port railway () is a railway line in Guangdong Province, China. History Construction began in 2016. During construction, this line was changed from a freight-only railway to a combined passenger and freight line. It opened on 31 December 2021 for freight. railway station opened on 8 February 2022. Shenzhen–Zhanjiang High-speed Railway
The Shenzhen–Zhanjiang railway is a high-speed railway across the south of Guangdong province. Currently it runs from Jiangmen to Zhanjiang West. It will link the cities of Shenzhen and Zhanjiang when complete. History Announced as part of the 12th Five Year Plan for 2011–2016, it was projected that construction of this railway would begin. Tenders were called for early in 2013 with construction to begin before the end of that year. Construction officially began on 28 June 2014. The Jiangmen–Maoming section opened on 1 July 2018. Construction of Shenzhen to Jiangmen section started on 9 October 2022. Route The railway is to follow a route from Xili railway station to Maoming East railway station. The Guangzhou Metro () ( and ) is the rapid transit system of the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province of China. It is operated by the state-owned Guangzhou Metro Corporation and was the fourth metro system to be built in mainland China, after those of Beijing, Tianjin, and Shanghai. The earliest efforts to build an underground rapid transit system in Guangzhou date back to 1960. In the two decades that followed, the project was brought into the agenda five times but ended up abandoned each time due to financial and technical difficulties. Line 18 of the Guangzhou Metro () is a rapid transit express line in Guangzhou with trains operating up to .
