Nancy McConnery
Nancy McConnery (born Nancy Horne on February 26, 1963) is a Canadian curler from Blockhouse, Nova Scotia. She currently skips her own team out of the Windsor Curling Club in Windsor, Nova Scotia. McConnery has represented both New Brunswick and Nova Scotia at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Her first Scott appearance was in 1993 representing New Brunswick. McConnery skipped her team which included Sandy Comeau. They would finish 2-9 in round robin play. She would once again return to the Scott in 1995 this time playing second for Heidi Hanlon, and would finish 4-7 in round robin play. McConnery’s next appearance would be in 2003 where she skipped her own team, this time representing Nova Scotia. She would finish round robin play 5-6, her best showing at the Tournament of Hearts to date. Sandy Comeau
Sandy Comeau (born October 5, 1964) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. She is a three-time New Brunswick Scotties champion. Career Comeau made her first Scotties appearance in 1993 playing second for Nancy McConnery at the 1993 Scott Tournament of Hearts. The team included Leanne Perron and Denise Cormier as well. They finished with a 2–9 record, only beating Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec. Comeau would not return to the national championship until 2005 where she skipped her own team. New Brunswick would qualify for the tiebreaker and would upset Team Canada's Colleen Jones before losing to Ontario's Jenn Hanna in the second round. Comeau appeared at the 2006 Canada Cup of Curling where her team made the 3 vs 4 page playoff game before losing to Jennifer Jones. Brock University
Brock University is a public research university in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It is the only university in Canada in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, at the centre of Canada's Niagara Peninsula on the Niagara Escarpment. Heidi Hanlon
Heidi Hanlon (born October 9, 1958, in Harvey, New Brunswick) is a Canadians, Canadian curling, curler from Saint John, New Brunswick. Hanlon is an 11-time New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts, provincial women's champion skip, provincial mixed champion and two-time provincial women's seniors championship. She became a Canadian champion for the first time by winning the 2011 Canadian Senior Curling Championships. It was the first women's title for the province. She has played in 11 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Her first Hearts was in 1987, where she finished with a 4–7 record. In 1989, she improved with a 7–4 record, and lost in tie-breaker to Julie Skinner, Julie Sutton. In 1990, she finished 5–6. In 1991, she finished the round robin with an 8–3 record. The Scotties Tournament of Hearts (''french: Le Tournoi des Cœurs Scotties''; commonly referred to as the Scotties) is the annual Canadian women's curling championship, sanctioned by Curling Canada, formerly called the Canadian Curling Association.
