Nadiia Bashynska
Nadiia Bashynska (born November 15, 2003) is a Ukrainian-Canadian ice dancer, who competes internationally for Canada. With her skating partner, Peter Beaumont, she is a two-time World Junior bronze medalist (2022, 2023), 2022–23 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, a four-time ISU Junior Grand Prix medallist, and the 2023 Canadian Junior champion. Personal life Bashynska was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. Her family subsequently emigrated to Canada. She became a Canadian citizen in September 2020. When not skating, Bashynska also works as a barista. She documents her life on her self-titled YouTube channel. Skating career Early years After learning to skate in 2006, Bashynska's first ice dance partnership in Ukraine was with Andrei Kapran. Peter Beaumont (born July 24, 2001) is an English ice dancer, who competes internationally for Canada. With his skating partner, Nadiia Bashynska, he is a two-time World Junior bronze medalist (2022, 2023), 2022–23 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, a four-time ISU Junior Grand Prix medallist, and the 2023 Canadian Junior champion. Beaumont formerly skated for Great Britain with partner Mia Jowitt, and was the 2015 British novice ice dance champion. Personal life Beaumont was born in Rotherham, England. Skating career Early career After starting to learn to skate in 2009, Beaumont competed in the United Kingdom as both a singles skater and an ice dancer. 2022–23 Grand Prix Of Figure Skating Final
The 2022–23 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final and ISU Junior Grand Prix Final was held from December 8–11, 2022 at the Torino Palavela in Turin, Italy. The combined event was the culmination of two international series — the Grand Prix of Figure Skating and the Junior Grand Prix. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance on the senior and junior levels. The previous Grand Prix Final in 2019 took place in Turin as well. The finals in 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lake Placid Ice Dance International
The Lake Placid Ice Dance International is an annual ice dance competition held in Lake Placid, New York. It was first held in 1932. In 2015 and 2016, the senior international event was included in the International Skating Union's calendar. The event takes place early in the season, usually in late July. Medals are awarded on the senior and junior levels. The 2021 edition of the event was held in Norwood, Massachusetts due to construction at its traditional Lake Placid site. Val Gardena
Val Gardena (; german: Gröden ; lld, Gherdëina ) is a valley in Northern Italy, in the Dolomites of South Tyrol. It is best known as a tourist skiing, rock climbing, and woodcarving area. Geography The valley's main river is the Derjon, a tributary of the Eisack river. The mountains that surround the valley are formed by dolomite rocks, which confer on them a characteristic appearance. Most of the steep slopes are covered by pine woods. The favoured cultivations are barley, rye, potatoes, flax, buckwheat. Egna Trophy
The Egna Spring Trophy, formerly the Gardena Spring Trophy (through 2016), is an annual international figure skating competition. It is held every spring in Val Gardena in Italy. Medals are awarded in men's and ladies' singles and sometimes in other disciplines. Since its inception in 1990, the event has included a junior-level competition. 2018 Canadian Figure Skating Championships
The 2018 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships took place January 8–14, 2018, in Vancouver, British Columbia. Organized by Skate Canada and sponsored by Canadian Tire, the event determined the national champions of Canada. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance on the senior, junior, and novice levels. Although the official International Skating Union terminology for female skaters in the singles category is ''ladies'', Skate Canada uses ''women'' officially. The results of this competition were among the selection criteria for the 2018 Winter Olympics, the 2018 World Championships, the 2018 Four Continents Championships, and the 2018 World Junior Championships. Royal Winnipeg Ballet
The Royal Winnipeg Ballet is Canada's oldest ballet company and the longest continuously operating ballet company in North America. The 2023 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships were held on January 9-15, 2023 in Oshawa, Ontario.
