Mixtapes was an American pop punk band from Cincinnati, Ohio, signed to No Sleep Records. The band formed in 2009, and released multiple studio albums before entering an indefinite hiatus in 2014. In 2019, ''Consequence'' ranked Mixtapes at number 89 on its list ''The 100 Best Pop Punk Bands''. History Mixtapes was formed in 2009, by friends Ryan Rockwell and Maura Weaver. Sharing lead vocals and guitar duties, the pair hired drummer Tim Rengers to record the band's eponymous debut album, ''Maps'', which was released via Death to False Hope Records in March 2010. The following year, they re-released their first album as ''Maps & Companions'' on vinyl under Animal Style Records, which featured 5 new songs from a newly recorded EP titled ''Companions (EP)''. The band was quickly expanded with bass guitarist Michael Remley and permanent drummer Boone Haley. Masked Intruder is an anonymous American punk rock band from Madison, Wisconsin, United States. The members of the band are Intruder Yellow (bass, backing vocals), Intruder Green (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Intruder Red (drums, backing vocals), and Intruder Blue (lead vocals, lead guitar). The band claims Intruder Yellow is currently in jail. They are known for wearing different colored ski masks and shoes on stage, using color-coded instruments, and never revealing their identities in publicity photos. They are also known for their early pop punk sound with their fast-paced songs, usually about love. On Bodies was an American hardcore band active from 2009 to 2017. Principally based in Cincinnati, Ohio, where the majority of its members resided, it also included members from Michigan, Florida, New Jersey, and Kentucky. The group was formed by guitarist, bass guitarist, drummer, backing vocalist, and principal songwriter Richard Thurston (formerly of Timescape Zero, Culture, Blood Has Been Shed, Diecast, Terror, and Walls of Jericho), and vocalist and lyricist Damien Moyal (formerly of Culture, Shai Hulud, Morning Again, Bird of Ill Omen, As Friends Rust, Bridgeburne R, and Damien Done). The Fest
The Fest is an annual music festival in Gainesville, Florida, United States, organized by Tony Weinbender, formerly of No Idea Records. It is a predominantly punk rock and pop-punk festival, though there are also a good number of indie rock, hardcore punk, metal, and ska acts. The Fest takes place each year on the weekend of the Florida–Georgia football game (around Halloween) held in Jacksonville. History The Fest first took place May 24 and 25, 2002, and has since attracted a large turnout throughout the years. Bands perform across a variety of venues (varying from small bars to large concert halls) in the downtown Gainesville area. Bayside is an American punk rock band from the Bayside, Queens neighborhood of New York City, formed in 2000 by lead vocalist Anthony Raneri. The group also consists of lead guitarist Jack O'Shea, bassist Nick Ghanbarian, and drummer Chris Guglielmo. Pentimento is an American punk rock band from Buffalo, New York. History Pentimento formed in the year 2011. Since then, they have released two full-length albums, two EPs, and two splits. In November 2011, the band supported Last Call on tour. Pentimento went on two co-headlining tours with Light Years. The first was a 2011–2012 winter U.S. tour with Light Years. The second tour was a European tour in February 2012. The band released their debut self-titled full length on November 13, 2012. Forever Came Calling is an American pop punk band from Twentynine Palms, California. History The band formed in the year 2006 as a Senses Fail and Taking Back Sunday cover band. After multiple line up changes, John Swaba joined as bassist. They then recorded and released their EP, HopE P.assion.
