Miss USA World 1965
Miss USA World 1965 was the 4th edition of the Miss USA World pageant and it was held at the Ashbury Park Convention Center in Asbury Park, New Jersey and was won by Dianna Lynn Batts of the District of Columbia. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder, Jeanne Marie Quinn of New York. Batts went on to represent the United States at the Miss World 1965 Pageant in London later that year. She finished as 1st Runner-Up at Miss World. Asbury Park Convention Hall
Asbury Park Convention Hall is a 3,600-seat indoor exhibition center located on the boardwalk and on the beach in Asbury Park in Monmouth County, New Jersey. It was built between 1928 and 1930 and is used for sports, concerts and other special events. Adjacent to the Convention Hall is the Paramount Theatre; both are connected by a Grand Arcade. Both structures are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. History In 1916, Asbury Park Mayor Clarence E.F. Hetrick hired famed architectural firm McKim, Mead and White to design a convention center for the block just north of the city's Atlantic Square, between 6th and Sunset avenues. The flag of the city of Detroit was designed in 1907 by David E. Heineman and was officially adopted as the city's flag in 1948.
