Marmara Fasciella
The white pine barkminer moth (''Marmara fasciella'') is a moth of the family Gracillariidae. It is found in Québec, Canada, and Kentucky, Maryland, New York, Vermont and Maine in the United States. Adults are on wing from May to early July. The larvae feed on '' Quercus'' species, '' Abies balsamea'', '' Pinus monticula'' and ''Pinus strobus ''Pinus strobus'', commonly called the eastern white pine, northern white pine, white pine, Weymouth pine (British), and soft pine is a large pine native to eastern North America. Moths are a paraphyletic group of insects that includes all members of the order Lepidoptera that are not butterflies, with moths making up the vast majority of the order. Gracillariidae is an important family of insects in the order Lepidoptera and the principal family of leaf miners that includes several economic, horticultural or recently invasive pest species such as the horse-chestnut leaf miner, ''Cameraria ohridella''.
