Mumtaz Ali Shah
Mumtaz Ali Shah is a retired Pakistani civil servant who served in BPS-22 grade as the Maritime Secretary of Pakistan and Chief Secretary Sindh. Hailing from Sindh, Shah joined the Pakistan Administrative Service after passing the Central Superior Service examination in 1984. Career Mumtaz Ali Shah has served on important positions including as Federal Secretary for Maritime Affairs, Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs and as Chief Secretary Sindh. Prior to his elevation to Grade 22 in 2017, Shah served on many positions in the Government of Sindh. Chief Secretary Sindh
The Chief Secretary Sindh (Urdu: ), also referred to as CS Sindh, is the chief and highest-ranking official of the Government of Sindh. The appointment of the Chief Secretary is made by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The position of Chief Secretary is equivalent to the rank of Federal Secretary and the position holder belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service. The current Chief Secretary Sindh is Sohail Rajput, in office since 17 April 2022. All Secretaries and Divisional Commissioners report to the Chief Secretary. Only the Prime Minister can appoint or remove the CS from his position. The Chief Secretary also serves as the Cabinet Secretary of Sindh. Multan (; ) is a city in Punjab, Pakistan, on the bank of the Chenab River. Balochistan ( ; bal, بلۏچستان; also romanised as Baluchistan and Baluchestan) is a historical region in Western and South Asia, located in the Iranian plateau's far southeast and bordering the Indian Plate and the Arabian Sea coastline. Nasirabad ( ur, ) is a district in the centre-west of Balochistan, Pakistan. Nasirabad's headquarters are at Dera Murad Jamali. The original name of the district was Temple Dera, named after Captain H. M. Temple, a career British civil servant, who served as the Political Agent for Sibi from 1891 to 1892. Among the local population it is still known as 'Tipul', a corruption of the word 'temple'. Formerly part of Kalat District, Nasirabad was granted the status of a separate district in 1974, while in 1987 the new district of Jaffarabad was cleaved out of it. Badin ( Sindhi and ur, ) is the main city and capital of Badin District in Sindh, Pakistan. It lies east of the Indus River. It is the 87th largest city in Pakistan. Dera Ghazi Khan (), abbreviated as D.G. Khan, is a city in the southwestern part of Punjab, Pakistan. It is the 19th largest city of Pakistan by population.
