Chief Secretary Sindh
The Chief Secretary Sindh (Urdu: ), also referred to as CS Sindh, is the chief and highest-ranking official of the Government of Sindh. The appointment of the Chief Secretary is made by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The position of Chief Secretary is equivalent to the rank of Federal Secretary and the position holder belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service. The current Chief Secretary Sindh is Sohail Rajput, in office since 17 April 2022. All Secretaries and Divisional Commissioners report to the Chief Secretary. Only the Prime Minister can appoint or remove the CS from his position. The Chief Secretary also serves as the Cabinet Secretary of Sindh. The Chief Secretary Punjab (Urdu: ), also referred to as CS Punjab, is the bureaucratic chief and highest-ranking official of the Government of Punjab, Pakistan. The appointment of the Chief Secretary is made directly by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The position of Chief Secretary is equivalent to the rank of Federal Secretary and the position holder usually belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service. The Chief Secretary is the province's administrative boss as all the divisional commissioners and administrative secretaries of the province report to him. The CS in return reports to the Chief Minister of Punjab, however the Chief Secretary is not under the charge of the Chief Minister as only the Prime Minister can appoint or remove the CS from his position. Establishment Secretary Of Pakistan
The Establishment Secretary of Pakistan is the Federal Secretary for the Establishment Division and is in charge of the transfers, postings as well as promotions in the country's civil service. The position holder is a BPS-22 Officer, usually belonging to the Pakistan Administrative Service. The Establishment Secretary reports directly to the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The current Establishment Secretary is Mr. Afzal Latif. The Establishment Secretary has a key role in recommending to the Prime Minister the right official for the right job in all Ministries, Divisions and Departments. The cabinet secretary of Pakistan (Urdu: ) is the federal secretary to the Cabinet of Pakistan. The Cabinet secretary serves as the administrative head of the Cabinet Division, providing policy advice to the prime minister and Cabinet. Usually the senior-most BPS-22 grade officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service is appointed to this post. The Cabinet secretary reports directly to the prime minister. Amongst federal secretaries, the Cabinet secretary is considered as the senior-most secretary and for this reason the Cabinet secretary heads the Secretaries’ Committee.
