Mukhthar Adam
Umar Zahir (30 May 1971) is a Maldivian singer. Career Born in GA. Dhaandhoo, Adam initiated his career as a musician by joining a local band to take part in some of the occasional stage shows held in his island and atoll. He rose to prominence in the year 1999, where he released the studio albums ''Husreethi'' and ''Nadhuru'' which all went to become a huge success. This led to Mukhthar receiving several offers from music directors and his voice was heard in several albums released during the year 2000 to 2006. In 2002, the Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition. In 2008, Mukhthar released his album ''Fini Roalhi'' which was considered a moderate success. However, with the fading demand for studio albums, he slowly become detached from the music releases. Fazeela Amir (16 December 1969) is a Maldivian singer. Early life Fazeela Amir was born and raised in the "Amir family" where several artists including Ahmed Amir and Ibrahim Amir were brought up and "ruled" the music industry. She made her career debut with the album ''Hiyy Fahi'' where she lent her voice for eleven songs in the album. This resulted in her receiving several offers from music directors and producers to sing for their films and albums before making her breakthrough with her "high-pitched" rendition of the songs in the 1994 released film '' Dheriyaa''. Her duets with Ali Rameez are well noted in the industry and maximum duets with Rameez are recorded by Amir. In 1998, the Government of Maldives honoured her with the National Award of Recognition. Mohamed Abdul Ghanee
Mohamed Abdul Ghanee (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Theyravaa is a Maldivian singer and songwriter. Early life and career Born to a musical family, Ghanee had no interest in music even when his siblings spend their time in jamming and singing. While studying at Madhrasathul Ifthithaah, he participated in the Inter-house singing competition, on a request by his elder brother. His performance was well noted by judges and received several prizes. The success was followed by his next performance, the song "Theyravaa" which caught the attention of a member from the local music band Zero Degree Atoll, who insisted him to perform a different version of the song in the ''Fannaanunge Muzikee Eid Show'' (1992). Mariyam Unoosha (born 6 October 1985), known mononymously as Unoosha is a Maldivian female singer and songwriter. She is from a prominent Maldivian singing family. Her parents were in the 90s famous band " Olympians". She has won many awards and has performed in various high caliber shows in Maldives and abroad. Easa Shareef is a Maldivian film director, actor, screen-writer, editor and lyricist. Career In 1993, Shareef collaborated with Yoosuf Rafeeu for his tragedy drama film '' Vaudhu'' (1993) which narrates the separation of a happy couple due to the societal differences. The following year, he directed and starred in the critically acclaimed film '' Zakham'' (1994) where he played the supportive brother of a young girl who has been forced to marry out of her will.
