Muhammad Abdul Hafiz
Muhammad Abdul Hafiz is a judge of the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Hafiz was born on 1 June 1967. He completed his bachelor's degree and masters at the University of Dhaka. Career Hafiz joined the Dhaka District court in 1982. In 1985, Hafiz became a lawyer of the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. Hafiz was appointed to the High Court Division as an Additional Judge on 27 April 2004. On 27 April 2005, Hafiz was made a permanent judge of the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. Hafiz and Justice AKM Fazlur Rahman on 6 May 2010, granted bail to 11 accused in the Shamim Reza Rubel murder. High Court Division
The High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh ( bn, হাইকোর্ট ডিভিশন) popularly known as the 'High Court' is one of the two divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, the other division being the Appellate Division. It consists of the Chief Justice of Bangladesh and the Judges of the High Court Division. The High Court Division exercises both original jurisdiction and appellate jurisdiction in civil and criminal matters. The prime jurisdiction of it is the Writ Jurisdiction, pursuant to which it is empowered under article 102 of the Constitution of Bangladesh to issue writ of certiorari, mandamus, quo warranto, prohibition and habeas corpus. Mainul Hosein is a Bangladeshi lawyer and the publisher of the daily newspaper ''The New Nation''. He is the former chairman of the editorial board of ''The Daily Ittefaq'', whose building was shelled and completely demolished on 25 March 1971 by Pakistan Army. He served as the law, information and land advisor to the immediate past interim Government of Bangladesh during January 2007 – January 2008. Khaleda Zia
Khaleda Zia (; born Khaleda Khanam Putul in 1945) is a Bangladeshi politician who served as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh from March 1991 to March 1996, and again from June 2001 to October 2006. Muhammad Mahbub Ul Islam is a Justice of the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Islam was born on 2 December 1958. He has a LLB and LLM from the University of Dhaka. Islam fled to India and later fought against Pakistan during the Bangladesh Liberation War. Career Islam became a lawyer of the District Courts in 1982. He joined the judicial branch of the Bangladesh Civil Service on 22 February 1984 and was appointed Munsif.
