Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat District
Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat ( th, อำเภอเมืองนครศรีธรรมราช, ) is the capital district (''amphoe mueang'') of Nakhon Si Thammarat province in southern Thailand. Geography Neighboring districts are (from the southeast clockwise): Pak Phanang, Chaloem Phra Kiat, Phra Phrom, Lan Saka, Phrom Khiri and Tha Sala. To the east is the Gulf of Thailand. Administration The district is divided into 16 sub-districts (''tambons''), which are further subdivided into 114 villages (''mubans''). The missing numbers 9-11 and 17 belong to communes which were split off in 1994 to form Phra Phrom District. Nakhon Si Thammarat itself has city status (''thesaban nakhon'') and covers ''tambons'' Nai Mueang, Tha Wang, Khlang, and parts of Na Khian and Pho Sadet. Phra Phrom ( th, พระพรหม, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of Nakhon Si Thammarat province, southern Thailand. Thesaban Nakhon
Thesaban ( th, เทศบาล, , ) are the municipalities of Thailand. There are three levels of municipalities: city, town, and sub-district. Bangkok and Pattaya are special municipal entities not included in the ''thesaban'' system. Nakhon Si Thammarat
Nakhon Si Thammarat Municipality ( th, เทศบาลนครนครศรีธรรมราช, ; from Pali ''Nagara Sri Dhammaraja'') is a municipality (''thesaban nakhon'') in Southern Thailand, capital of Nakhon Si Thammarat province and Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat district. It is about south of Bangkok, on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula. The city was the administrative center of southern Thailand during most of its history. Originally a coastal city, silting moved the coastline away from the city. The city has a much larger north to south extension than west to east, which dates back to its original location on a flood-save dune. The modern city centre on the train station is north of Old Town. As of 2019, the city had a population of 102,152. Muban ( th, หมู่บ้าน; , ) is the lowest administrative sub-division of Thailand. Phrom Khiri District
Phrom Khiri ( th, พรหมคีรี, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of Nakhon Si Thammarat province, southern Thailand. History On 26 August 1974 the minor district (''king amphoe'') Phrom Khiri was formed with the three ''tambons'' Phrom Lok, Ban Ko, and In Khiri split from Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat district. On 13 July 1981 it was upgraded to a full district. Geography Phrom Khiri is located from Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport, and taking approximately 20 minutes to reach. The district is located in the midst of rubber plantations and surrounded by lush forests. There're small streets cutting through to allow access to the village. Lan Saka ( th, ลานสกา, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of Nakhon Si Thammarat province, southern Thailand. History The district was at first a minor district (''king amphoe'') named Khao Kaeo (เขาแก้ว), which was a subordinate of Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat district.
