Montenegrin Republic League
Montenegrin Republic League (Montenegrin: ''Crnogorska republička liga'' / ''Црногорска републичка лига'') was the third tier football league of SFR Yugoslavia. The top clubs were promoted to Yugoslav Second League. Overview Founded in spring 1946, Montenegrin Republic League was the oldest football competition in Montenegro after WWII. It existed 60 years, and most of the time it was the third tier of competition (after First League and Second League). In inaugural season (1946) in Montenegrin Republic League played only four clubs – FK Budućnost, FK Lovćen, FK Sutjeska and FK Arsenal. During its existence, Montenegrin Republic League was organised by Football Association of Montenegro. Number of participants was different – from four (1946) to 18 during the nineties. The Socialist Republic of Montenegro ( sh-Latn-Cyrl, separator=" / ", Socijalistička Republika Crna Gora, Социјалистичка Република Црна Гора), commonly referred to as Socialist Montenegro or simply Montenegro, was one of the six republics forming the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the nation state of the Montenegrins. 1952 Montenegrin Republic League
The 1952 Montenegrin Republic League was the seventh season, of the Montenegrin Republic League, that began in March 1952 and ended in June same year. Season At the end of season 1951, Football Association of Yugoslavia disbanded Yugoslav Second League. So, Montenegrin teams from higher level ( Budućnost and Bokelj) were moved to Montenegrin Republic League. In season 1952, Republic League was second-tier competition in Yugoslav Second League, which meant that the winner of competition will play qualifiers for Yugoslav First League. Except Budućnost and Bokelj, members of 1952 Montenegrin Republic League were Sutjeska, Lovćen, Iskra, Bratstvo Bijelo Polje, Radnički Ivangrad and Arsenal. 1966–67 Montenegrin Republic League
The 1966–67 Montenegrin Republic League was 22nd season of Montenegrin Republic League. Season started in August 1966 and finished in May 1967. Season After the season 1965–66, Football Association of Montenegro decided to expand a number of participants from 10 to 12. So, the new members of Montenegrin Republic League became Mornar, Spuž and Čelik. At the end of 22 weeks long competition, OFK Titograd won the title. Team from the capital were equalised with the second-placed Rudar, but they scored more goals during the season. With that result, OFK Titograd participated in the qualifiers for Yugoslav Second League. After the autumn stage, Arsenal withdrawn from competition due to technical difficulties. 1963–64 Montenegrin Republic League
The 1963–64 Montenegrin Republic League was 19th season of Montenegrin Republic League. Season started in August 1963 and finished in May 1964. Season Except the teams from previous year, a new member of the competition was Zeta. They replaced a last placed team from previous season ( Arsenal). At the end of 18 weeks long competition, OFK Titograd won the title, with only single point more than Lovćen. With that result, Titograd participated in the qualifiers for Yugoslav Second League. 1961–62 Montenegrin Republic League
The 1961–62 Montenegrin Republic League was 17th season of Montenegrin Republic League. For the first time after the season 1954–55 competition was unified, without final tournaments and zones as qualifying phase. Season started in August 1961 and finished in May 1962. Season Before the start of season, Football Association of Montenegro make the decision to create an unified competition with nine teams – three representatives of central Montenegro (OFK Titograd, Čelik and Gorštak), three from northern Montenegro ( Rudar, Jedinstvo and Brskovo) and three from southern Montenegro (Lovćen, Bokelj and Arsenal). FK Bokelj
FK Bokelj is a Montenegrin professional football club based in the coastal town of Kotor. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Second League. History History of Bokelj started at the second decade of 20th century. The team was founded on 30 July 1922 as ''SK Primorac''. Primorac played its first game against FK Zrinjski Tivat and won 2-1. In 1926, the team was renamed as FK Bokelj and until 1941 played numerous seasons in the Montenegrin Football Championship. 1948–49 Montenegrin Republic League
The 1948–49 Montenegrin Republic League was fourth season of Montenegrin Republic League. The season began in September 1948 and ended in May 1949. Season In the fourth edition of Montenegrin First League played eight different teams. For the first time, among participants were Iskra Danilovgrad, Tempo Bar and IKA Ivangrad, who won the qualifiers. Many irregularities occurred during the season. Most matches were not played, so at the end, all the teams didn't play an equal number of games. However, the season was officially registered and two best placed teams participated in the qualifiers for Yugoslav Second and Third League. The 1947–48 Montenegrin Republic League was the third season of Montenegrin Republic League. The season began in October 1947 and ended in May 1948. The 1951 Montenegrin Republic League was the sixth season, of the Montenegrin Republic League, that began in March 1951 and ended in June same year.
