1947–48 Montenegrin Republic League
The 1947–48 Montenegrin Republic League was the third season of Montenegrin Republic League. The season began in October 1947 and ended in May 1948. Season Qualifiers Except five teams which played in previous season (FK Sutjeska Nikšić, Sutjeska, FK Bokelj, Bokelj, FK Lovćen, Lovćen, FK Arsenal Tivat, Arsenal and FK Rudar Pljevlja, Jakić), Football Association of Montenegro planned sixt place in Montenegrin Republic League 1947-48. Montenegrin Republic League
Montenegrin Republic League (Montenegrin: ''Crnogorska republička liga'' / ''Црногорска републичка лига'') was the third tier football league of SFR Yugoslavia. The top clubs were promoted to Yugoslav Second League. Overview Founded in spring 1946, Montenegrin Republic League was the oldest football competition in Montenegro after WWII. It existed 60 years, and most of the time it was the third tier of competition (after First League and Second League). In inaugural season (1946) in Montenegrin Republic League played only four clubs – FK Budućnost, FK Lovćen, FK Sutjeska and FK Arsenal. Fudbalski klub Jedinstvo ( Montenegrin: Фудбалски клуб Јединство) is football club from Bijelo Polje, Montenegro, currently competing in the Montenegrin First League. The club was established in 1922. History FK Jedinstvo (''FC United'') was founded in 1922, as a first football team in Bijelo Polje. During the first two decades (1922-1941), the team played mostly exhibition matches, without participation in Montenegrin Football Championship. First significant success after World War II, the team made on season 1949-50, with promotion to the Montenegrin Republic League. At that time, the club played under the name ''Bratstvo''. Šavnik
Šavnik ( cnr, Шавник, ) is a town in Montenegro and administrative center of the Šavnik Municipality. It is located at the confluence of three rivers - Bukovica, Bijela and Šavnik, at an altitude of 840 meters. It is the lowest lying settlement in the municipality. History Unlike most settlements in the area, which date back several centuries, Šavnik is relatively new, founded only in 1861. It was populated by migrants from other parts of Montenegro and Herzegovina, mostly craftsmen, merchants, riflers and blacksmiths, which were needed by local farmers. The area was overgrown with willows, which the newly formed town was named after (šavice – willow branches or seams, which were used as a roof covering). Danilovgrad
Danilovgrad ( cnr, Даниловград) is a town in central Montenegro. It has a population of 6,852 (2011 census). It is situated in the Danilovgrad Municipality which lies along the main route between Montenegro's two largest cities, Podgorica and Nikšić. Via villages, Danilovgrad forms part of a conurbation with Podgorica. The town of Danilovgrad is located in the fertile valley of the Zeta River, sometimes called also the Bjelopavlići plain, after the name of the local clan. FK Iskra Danilovgrad
Fudbalski klub Iskra (English: Football Club Iskra) is a Montenegrin football club based in Danilovgrad. They currently compete in the Montenegrin First League. History FK Iskra was founded in 1919, under the name ''RSK Sloga Danilovgrad''. Since 1929, the team played under the name ''RSK Zmaj'', with their first-ever performance in Montenegrin Football Championship on season 1933–34. After World War II, the team started to play under the name FK Iskra. First significant success, FK Iskra made with promotion to Montenegrin Republic League 1948–49. Andrijevica
Andrijevica (Montenegrin Cyrillic: Андријевица, ) is a town and the seat of Andrijevica Municipality in eastern Montenegro. According to the 2011 census, it has a population of 1,048. History The town of Andrijevica is a relatively new settlement, as its first rudiments begin in the middle of the nineteenth century. However, the territory the municipality is for a long time the area of human activity and space with numerous settlements that appeared and disappeared during the history. FK Komovi
FK Komovi is a Montenegrin football club from Andrijevica. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Third League. History The club was founded in 1934, as FK Radnik. Before World War II, they played only non-league games. In 1946, the team was refounded and named FK Komovi after the mountain with the same name. Until the seventies, FK Komovi participated in regional competition (fourth-tier) and their first success came at the 1975-76 season. At that season for the first time in history, FK Komovi won the title of the Montenegrin Fourth League champion, gaining promotion to the Montenegrin Republic League. Tuzi
Tuzi ( cnr, Tuzi/Тузи, ; sq, Tuz or ''Tuzi'') is a small town in Montenegro and the seat of Tuzi Municipality, Montenegro. It is located along a main road between the city of Podgorica and the Albanian border crossing, just a few kilometers north of Lake Skadar. FK Dečić (Montenegrin Cyrillic: ФК Дечић, sq, KF Deçiqi) is a Montenegrin football club from Tuzi. Currently, the club is member of the Montenegrin First League. It is a part of Dečić sport society. History Founded during 1926, it's named after Dečić hill. The team played only non-league matches in period before World War II.
