Fudbalski klub Jedinstvo ( Montenegrin: Фудбалски клуб Јединство) is football club from Bijelo Polje, Montenegro, currently competing in the Montenegrin First League. The club was established in 1922. History FK Jedinstvo (''FC United'') was founded in 1922, as a first football team in Bijelo Polje. During the first two decades (1922-1941), the team played mostly exhibition matches, without participation in Montenegrin Football Championship. First significant success after World War II, the team made on season 1949-50, with promotion to the Montenegrin Republic League. At that time, the club played under the name ''Bratstvo''. Soon after that, in the 1955-56 season, FK Jedinstvo played their first-ever season in the Yugoslav Second League, but were relegated after three consecutive seasons. Gradski Stadion (Bijelo Polje)
} Gradski stadion is a football stadium in Bijelo Polje, Montenegro. It is currently used for football matches and is the home ground of FK Jedinstvo, FK Tekstilac and OFK Borac. The stadium holds 4,000 people. History FK Jedinstvo played home games at the location of Gradski stadion since 1945. Following promotion of FK Jedinstvo to First League of Serbia and Montenegro, the stadium was renovated in 2005, with 3,000 seats on the main stand and 1,000 seats on the other stand. Pitch and conditions The pitch measures 110 x 70 meters. The stadium didn't met UEFA criteria for European competitions. At the north side of stadium is situated indoor sports hall 'Nikoljac'. 2016–17 Montenegrin First League
The 2016–17 Montenegrin First League (known as 1. CFL 2016–17) was the eleventh season of the top-tier football in Montenegro. Mladost Podgorica are the defending champions. The season began on 6 August 2016 and ended on 27 May 2017; the relegation play-offs will follow. Format of competition A total of 12 teams will participate in this edition of the First Montenegrin League. Mornar was relegated to 2016–17 Montenegrin Second League. They were replaced with FK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje. This is the last season of Prva CFL with 12 participants. From the 2017–18 season, there will be 10 clubs in the top-tier rank of Montenegro. The 2008–09 Montenegrin First League was the third season of the top-tier football in Montenegro. The season began on 9 August 2008 and ended on 30 May 2009. The defending champions are Budućnost Podgorica. Teams Mladost Podgorica were directly relegated to the Montenegrin Second League after finishing 12th in last year's standings. Their place was taken by Second League champions Jezero Plav. 10th placed Bokelj Kotor and 11th placed Sutjeska Nikšić had to compete in two-legged relegation play-offs. 2006–07 Montenegrin First League
The 2006–07 Montenegrin First League season was the inaugural season of the league as Montenegro's top-tier football competition. Although the league existed before, it was previously a second-tier league, underneath the Serbo-Montenegrin First League. Upon the independence of Montenegro, and the establishment of a Montenegrin Football Association, the league became disassociated with the Serbo-Montenegrin league and thus was given its present position. The league played its first games of the season on 12 August 2006 and its final matches were played on 26 May 2007. On 26 May, after their final match, FK Zeta were confirmed as the league's first ever champions under the new FA, and thus qualified as the country's first ever UEFA Champions League competitor. By 23 May, preliminary referendum results were recognized by all five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, suggesting widespread international recognition if Montenegro were to become formally independent. On 31 May, the referendum commission officially confirmed the results of the referendum, verifying that 55.5% of the population of Montenegrin voters had voted in favor of independence. The 2005–06 Serbia and Montenegro Superliga (officially known as the Meridian SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) was the fourth and last season of the Serbia and Montenegro's top-level football league before the dissolution. The First League of Serbia and Montenegro ( sr, Прва савезна лига / Prva savezna liga) was the top football league of Serbia and Montenegro, before the country's dissolution in 2006. The league was formed following the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1992, effectively succeeding the Yugoslav First League. The league was renamed the Serbia and Montenegro SuperLiga prior to its final 2005–06 season. From 1993 to 1998, the league abandoned the traditional single-league structure, which was used in the first season, and the division was split into two groups; Group A (known as IA) for the top-seeded teams and Group B (IB) for the other teams.
