1963–64 Montenegrin Republic League
The 1963–64 Montenegrin Republic League was 19th season of Montenegrin Republic League. Season started in August 1963 and finished in May 1964. Season Except the teams from previous year, a new member of the competition was Zeta. They replaced a last placed team from previous season (Arsenal). At the end of 18 weeks long competition, OFK Titograd won the title, with only single point more than Lovćen. With that result, Titograd participated in the qualifiers for Yugoslav Second League. Last-placed Zeta was relegated. Table Qualifiers for Yugoslav Second League Titograd played in the qualifiers for 1964-65 Second League - East. Montenegrin Republic League (Montenegrin: ''Crnogorska republička liga'' / ''Црногорска републичка лига'') was the third tier football league of SFR Yugoslavia. The top clubs were promoted to Yugoslav Second League. Overview Founded in spring 1946, Montenegrin Republic League was the oldest football competition in Montenegro after WWII. It existed 60 years, and most of the time it was the third tier of competition (after First League and Second League). In inaugural season (1946) in Montenegrin Republic League played only four clubs – FK Budućnost, FK Lovćen, FK Sutjeska and FK Arsenal. FK Zeta is a football club from Golubovci, a suburb of Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. It plays in the Montenegrin Second League. The club was the inaugural champion of the Montenegrin First League in 2006–07 season. History Period 1927-1997 The club was formed in 1927 under the name ''FK Danica''. Before the independence of Montenegro, football clubs from that country played in different competitions. From 1945 to 2006, Montenegrin club played in the leagues of SFR Yugoslavia, FR Yugoslavia and the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro. Montenegrin Republic Cup (1947–2006)
The Montenegrin Republic Cup was cup competition for Montenegrin lower-tier clubs in the period while Montenegro was a part of SFR Yugoslavia, FR Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro. Winners and often a finalist of Montenegrin Republic Cup participated in the Yugoslav Cup and Serbia and Montenegro Cup. Competition played from 1947 to 2006, and after independence of Montenegro is succeeded by Montenegrin Cup. Format and participants During the existence of SFR Yugoslavia, Montenegrin Republic Cup had 32 participants or more. But, after the 1992, in Republic Cup participated 16 clubs. 1963–64 Yugoslav Second League
The 1963–64 Yugoslav Second League season was the 18th season of the Second Federal League ( sh, Druga savezna liga), the second level association football competition of SFR Yugoslavia, since its establishment in 1946. The league was contested in two regional groups (West Division and East Division), with 16 clubs each. West Division Teams A total of sixteen teams contested the league, including twelve sides from the 1962–63 season, one club relegated from the 1962–63 Yugoslav First League and three sides promoted from the third tier leagues played in the 1962–63 season. The league was contested in a double round robin format, with each club playing every other club twice, for a total of 30 rounds. Two points were awarded for wins and one point for draws. Sloboda were relegated from the 1962–63 Yugoslav First League after finishing in the 13th place of the league table. FK Rudar Pljevlja, commonly known as Rudar Pljevlja or simply Rudar, is a football club based in Pljevlja, Montenegro. It currently plays in the Montenegrin First League, the country's highest tier.
