Monorail Suspension Bridge
Monorail Suspension Bridge is one of the many bridges in Putrajaya, Malaysia. It was built to link several important landmarks in the Putrajaya area like the Putrajaya Convention Centre, Putra Mosque and the Government Administrative Complex in Parcel E. The bridge's main span has a length of approximately 240 metres and width of 10 metres. It is owned by Putrajaya Holdings Sdn. Bhd. and was designed by PJS International Sdn. Bhd. The project halted in 2004 because the government had not approved further funding. The stalled project has often been described as the missing link of the public transport system designed for the federal administrative capital. The Ministry of the Federal Territories instructed the Putrajaya Corporation to appoint an independent consultant to conduct a study on the project's viability. Putrajaya Monorail
The Putrajaya Monorail is an incomplete monorail system in Putrajaya, Malaysia. Construction has been stalled since 2004, but in 2020, it was stated that the system would be completed by 2025. Putrajaya was originally planned to include a light rail system, but plans were changed, and a monorail plan was selected instead, after the construction of tunnels for aforementioned system began. It called for two sublines; Line 1, which is a monorail route with 17 stations and Line 2, which is a monorail route with 6 stations. In 2019, the government proposed a new light rapid transit (LRT) system may be built to revive the incomplete monorail project. The monorail will include the Monorail Suspension Bridge, currently incomplete, and the Putra Bridge. The Putrajaya Lake ( ms, Tasik Putrajaya) is a lake located at the centre of Putrajaya, Malaysia, roughly 33 kilometres south of Kuala Lumpur. This 650-hectare man-made lake is designed to act as a natural cooling system for the city and also for recreation, fishing, water sports and water transport. The lake and its surrounding areas form Putrajaya’s most popular resource for informal recreation as a waterfront city. The lake has an average depth of 6.60 metres and a catchment area of 50.9 square kilometres. The Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC; ms, Pusat Konvensyen Antarabangsa Putrajaya) is the main convention centre of the Federal Territory of Putrajaya. Putra Mosque
The Putra Mosque ( ms, Masjid Putra) is the principal mosque of Putrajaya, Malaysia. Construction of the mosque began in 1997 and was completed two years later. It is located on Putra Square and is adjacent to man-made Putrajaya Lake. The pink-domed Putra Mosque is constructed with rose-tinted granite and consists of three main functional areas – the prayer hall, the Sahn, or courtyard, and various learning facilities and function rooms.
