Mojgan Shajarian
Mojgan Shajarian ( fa, مژگان شجریان, born 17 May 1970) is an Iranian-born painter, graphic designer, vocalist, and setar player. She is daughter of musician Mohammad-Reza Shajarian. Early life and education Mojgan Shajarian was born on 17 May 1970 in Tehran. She holds a bachelor's degree in painting, and a master's degree in graphic communication from the Islamic Azad University, and also a bachelor's degree in music from the University of the Arts. Shajarian is married to Mohammad Ali Rafiei, who was the concert director of Mohammad Reza Shajarian and later Homayoun Shajarian, and has a daughter named Mehr Rafiei and two twin sons named Sam and Sepehr. Tehran
Tehran (; fa, تهران ) is the largest city in Tehran Province and the capital of Iran. Jalil Shahnaz
Jalil Shahnaz (22 May 1921 – 17 June 2013; Persian: جلیل شهناز) was a Persian classical music musician and a virtuoso of the Persian musical instrument, tar. Biography Jalil Shahnaz was born in 1921 in Isfahan, Persia (Iran). Shahnaz studied under the supervision of his brother, Hossein Shahnaz, and befriended Hassan Kassai, a ney player. According to the book ''Persian Musicians'' by Pejman Akbarzadeh: "Shahnaz started his activities in 1949 at Radio Isfahan and in 1957 he was invited to cooperate with Radio Tehran. In the capital he worked as a soloist at ''Golha program'' and also later he was quite active at Persian music programs of Shiraz/Persepolis Arts Festival. Shahnaz in the late 1980s became a member of "Persian Music Maestros Ensemble". The ensemble performed various concerts inside and outside of Persia." The ''Albuquerque Journal'' is the largest newspaper in the U.S. state of New Mexico. History The ''Golden Gate'' newspaper was founded in June 1880. In the fall of 1880, the owner of the ''Golden Gate'' died and Journal Publishing Company was created. Journal Publishing changed the paper name to ''Albuquerque Daily Journal'' and issued its first edition of the ''Albuquerque Daily Journal'' on October 14, 1880. The ''Daily Journal'' was first published in Old Town Albuquerque, but in 1882 the publication moved to a single room in the so-called new town (or expanded Albuquerque) at Second and Silver streets near the railroad tracks. Sima Bina ( fa, سیما بینا, ''Simā Binā'', born 4 January 1945) is an Iranian traditional musician, composer, researcher, painter and teacher, described by Radio WDR Germany as the "grand lady of Iranian folk music". Bina's career in the performing arts has spanned more than five decades. Bina has been able to gather and revive a collection of nearly forgotten Iranian folk songs and melodies.
