Miss Universe Myanmar 2022 is the 9th Miss Universe Myanmar pageant that was held on October 1, 2022 at the Grand Ballroom, Novotel Hotel, Yangon. Zar Li Moe of Bhamo won the competition, but didn't have a chance of being crowned by the reigning Miss Universe Myanmar, Thuzar Wint Lwin. Yangon
Yangon ( my, ရန်ကုန်; ; ), formerly spelled as Rangoon, is the capital of the Yangon Region and the largest city of Myanmar (also known as Burma). Zun Than Sin ( my, ဇွန်သံစဉ်; born 26 June 1995) is a Burmese model, musician, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2017 and represented Myanmar at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. Early life Zun was born and raised in Yangon to an ethnic Rakhine family. Her father is a head doctor from Yangon Ear Nose & Throat Hospital, while her mother is a housewife. Education Zun graduated with double degrees in Burmese Literature and Dramatic Arts from National University of Arts and Culture in Yangon. Miss International Queen
Miss International Queen is the world's biggest beauty pageant for transgender women. The pageant was conceived in 2004 and named the largest and most prestigious by CNN original American documentary television series This Is Life with Lisa Ling aired on 26 November 2017. The pageant is a registered trademark of Thailand's company – Tiffany's Show Pattaya Co, Ltd. It is held annually in Pattaya City, Thailand since 2004. Miss International (''Miss International Beauty'' or ''The International Beauty Pageant'') is a Japan-based international beauty pageant organized by the International Culture Association. First held in 1960, it is the fourth largest pageant in the world in terms of the number of national winners participating in the international contest. Miss International Myanmar or also known as Miss Myanmar International is a national competition to select Myanmar's representative to the Miss International pageant. This pageant organization is unrelated to the Miss Universe Myanmar, Miss World Myanmar , Miss Earth Myanmar or Miss Golden Land Myanmar. History Begins in 2012, Miss Myanmar International becomes a pioneer and an independent national pageant in Yangon, Myanmar. Starting from that year, Myanmar has participated for the first time since 1961 in an international beauty pageant as Nang Khin Zay Yar represented at the Miss International 2012.
