Miss Supranational Myanmar
Miss Supranational Myanmar also known as Miss Burma Supranational is a national pageant to select Myanmar's representative to the Miss Supranational pageant. This pageant is unrelated to the Miss Universe Myanmar, Miss International Myanmar, Miss World Myanmar or Miss Golden Land Myanmar national contests. History Former, Miss Golden Land Myanmar Organization has been responsible for selecting the representatives of Myanmar for Miss Supranational international pageants from 2013 to 2019. At the time, Miss Golden Land Myanmar was a generic title used to refer to Myanmar representatives to Miss Supranational. Starting from 2020, the Miss Burma Organization will select and send Miss Myanmar representatives for Miss Supranational. Therefore, the ''Miss Burma'' title will now be used to refer to Myanmar representatives to Miss Supranational. Beauty Pageant
A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Pageant titles are subdivided into Miss, Mrs. or Ms., and Teen – to clearly identify the difference between pageant divisions. Hundreds and thousands of beauty contests are held annually, but the Big Four are considered the most prestigious, widely covered and broadcast by media. Miss Earth Myanmar is a national beauty pageant in Myanmar organized by Miss Earth Myanmar Organization. Miss Burma (1947–1962)
Miss Burma was the national beauty pageant in Burma (now Myanmar) from 1947 to 1962. The winner of ''Miss Burma'' also represented her country at the Miss Universe. In 1962, the pageant was banned by the Union Revolutionary Council government because it was considered against Burmese culture. History The term Miss Burma was introduced in Myanmar through the MISS ORGANIZATION and held the Miss Burma 1959 Local Beauty Pageant Competition. At the end of the event, Than Than Aye was competed in Miss Burma 1959. She was the Burma's first contestant in the Miss Universe pageant. In 1960, the Miss Burma Organization competed for Burma beauty pageants to Big Four international beauty pageants. Miss Supranational 2021 was the 12th edition of the Miss Supranational pageant. It was held on 21 August 2021, in Nowy Sącz, Poland. Anntonia Porsild of Thailand crowned Chanique Rabe of Namibia as her successor at the end of the event. Yangon
