Miss New Hampshire Teen USA
The Miss New Hampshire Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of New Hampshire in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It was directed by The Clemente Organization based in Malden, Massachusetts from 2013 to 2019. GDB Theatre and Pageant Productions became the new directors for the event starting from 2020 competition. In terms of number of placements New Hampshire is one of the least successful states. From 1983 to 2007 their only placement was when Janel Bishop won the Miss Teen USA title in 1991 becoming the 8th state that won the Miss Teen USA title for the first time. Two New Hampshire teens have competed at Miss USA, one after winning the Miss New Hampshire USA and one as Miss New York USA. Grace Paradise of Plaistow was crowned Miss New Hampshire Teen USA 2022 on May 1, 2022, at Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. Miss New Hampshire
The Miss New Hampshire is the scholarship program that selects the representative for the state of New Hampshire in the Miss America competition. The Miss New Hampshire program was conducted by the '' Union Leader'' newspaper for more than 50 years. In the early years of Miss America, it was city newspapers that sponsored the young women to go to Atlantic City as the Miss America Organization originally allowed city titleholders to compete. The ''Union Leader'' conducted the pageant from 1947 until 2001. The newspaper held the pageant from at least 1985 to 2001 at the Manchester Central High School auditorium. In 2000, a non-profit corporation formed and was granted the license by the Miss America Organization to conduct the state program from 2002 through today. Miss Teen USA 2013 was the 31st Miss Teen USA pageant, held on August 10, 2013 at Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas and was hosted by Australian journalist Karl Jeno Schmid and Miss Teen USA 2003 Tami Farrell. Logan West of Connecticut crowned her successor Cassidy Wolf of California at the end of the event. Miss Teen USA 2016 was the 34th Miss Teen USA pageant, was held at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 30, 2016. Katherine Haik of Louisiana crowned her successor Karlie Hay of Texas, at the end of the event. The pageant was webcast on the Miss Universe website, Facebook page, and mobile app as well as on Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles via Xbox Live. Miss Teen USA 2017 was the 35th Miss Teen USA pageant held at the Phoenix Symphony Hall in Phoenix, Arizona on July 29, 2017. Karlie Hay of Texas crowned her successor, Sophia Dominguez-Heithoff of Missouri at the end of the event. The pageant was hosted by celebrity personal trainer and author Heidi Powell and E! correspondent Erin Lim, while Mexican singer Jorge Blanco performed.
