Miss Teen USA 2013
Miss Teen USA 2013 was the 31st Miss Teen USA pageant, held on August 10, 2013 at Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas and was hosted by Australian journalist Karl Jeno Schmid and Miss Teen USA 2003 Tami Farrell. Logan West of Connecticut crowned her successor Cassidy Wolf of California at the end of the event. The 50 states and the District of Columbia competed for the title and the pageant was webcast on the official Miss Teen USA website via Ustream and on Xbox Live. Cassidy Marie Wolf (born July 5, 1994) is an American TV host, model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Teen USA 2013. Pageants While attending Great Oak High School in Temecula, she was crowned Miss Greater San Diego Teen USA. Wolf was crowned Miss California Teen USA in 2013, and later the same year Miss Teen USA 2013 on August 10, 2013, in The Bahamas. Wolf was crowned the 31st Miss Teen USA. She was first Runner-Up at Miss California Teen USA 2012. Victim of sextortion Wolf was a victim of sextortion, after photographs of her were hacked and used in an attempt to blackmail her. The Miss South Carolina Teen USA pageant is the competition that selects the representatives for the state of South Carolina in the Miss Teen USA pageant. The pageant has been directed by RPM Productions since its inception. The Miss New York Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of New York in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It is directed by D&D Productions. In 1983, New York became the 1st state ever that won the Miss Teen USA title for the first time. New York is also one of only five states to have won the Miss Congeniality award at least two times. Miss New Jersey Teen USA
The Miss New Jersey Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of New Jersey in the Miss Teen USA pageant. New Jersey has had a moderated success at Miss Teen USA, with ten placements. In the first twenty years of the competition, New Jersey only recorded three placements; from 2003 they placed in four of five years. New Jersey's first top five placement came in 2003 when Jacklyn Pezzotta placed fourth runner-up, and this was bettered in 2007 when Alyssa Campanella placed 1st runner up. The Miss Missouri Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Missouri in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It is directed by Vanbros and Associates, based in Lenexa, Kansas. In 1993, Missouri joined the Vanbros group of state pageants for the Miss USA and Teen USA system. Missouri is in the top 10 most successful states at Miss Teen USA in terms of number and value of placements. Six Missouri teens have gone on to compete at Miss USA, although only four as Miss Missouri USA. The other two represented Kansas, another Vanbros state. The Miss Maryland Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Maryland in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Maryland did not place at Miss Teen USA until 1992, but since then this state has been quite successful, including earning four runner-up placements, and a winner in 2010. Seven Maryland teens have gone on to win the Miss Maryland USA title, and two competed at Miss America. Miss Kansas Teen USA
The Miss Kansas Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Kansas in the Miss Teen USA pageant. This pageant has been part of the Vanbros organisation since 1992, and in 2006, they celebrated their fifteen-year anniversary with a reunion of former titleholders at the 2007 pageant. For the first time, all the judges for both the Miss Kansas USA and Miss Kansas Teen USA pageants were former titleholders from the Vanbros states: Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Nebraska. Prior to 1994, the pageant was held concurrently with the Miss Kansas USA event, which was hosted by Kansas City. In 1994, the pageant was moved to Wichita. The Miss Hawaii Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Hawaii in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Although Hawaii has made the cut fewer times than many states, they have achieved a number of high placings. Hawaii Teen USAs have been quite successful at Miss Teen USA, and are ranked fifteenth in terms of number and value of placementand were ranked third in the 1980 Kelly Hu won the competition in 1985 becoming the 3rd state that won the Miss Teen USA title for the first time and Kiilani Arruda won in 2020 becoming the 38th Miss Teen USA titleholder, while two other Hawaii teens have placed as first runner-up. The Miss Arkansas Teen USA competition is the beauty pageant, pageant that selects the representative for the state of Arkansas in the Miss Teen USA pageant. The state pageant was directed by Premier Pageants from 2002 to 2007 before becoming part of the Vanbros organization, headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas. In 2007, Vanbros group took over the management of the pageant with the Miss Kansas Teen USA, Kansas, Miss Nebraska Teen USA, Nebraska, Miss Missouri Teen USA, Missouri and Miss Oklahoma Teen USA, Oklahoma pageants. Miss Alabama Teen USA
The Miss Alabama Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Alabama in the Miss Teen USA pageant and the name of the title held by that winner. Alabama's success at Miss Teen USA has improved in recent years, with eight teens making the cut, although none have placed higher than 4th runner-up until 2016. That placement went to Anna Mingus, who also won Miss Congeniality, Alabama's only special award until Erin Snow won Miss Photogenic in 2016. Mingus later took the title Miss Alabama USA in 1995, and is one of only three Alabama teens to win a Miss USA state title. Until 2010 Miss and Teen Alabama was directed by the Premier Pageants group, and was the first state to be taken under this directorate.
