The Miss Brazil 2014 was the 60th edition of the Miss Brazil pageant, held in Centro de Eventos do Ceará, Fortaleza, Ceará, Jakelyne Oliveira of Mato Grosso, crowned her successor Melissa Gurgel of Ceará. Delegates from each state and the Federal District for competed for the national crown. The winner represented Brazil in Miss Universe 2014 and placed Top 15. Três Lagoas
Três Lagoas ("Three Ponds") is a municipality in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. It is the third most populous city in that state. Founded in 1915, colonization began in 1880 by Luís Correia Neves Filho, Antônio Trajano dos Santos e Protásio Garcia Leal. It is named for three lakes in the region. The city itself has a population of 123,281 according to 2020 estimates. The city has a reasonable income distribution and does not have pockets of poverty. Juara
Juara is a municipality located in the state of Mato Grosso in the Central-West Region of Brazil. It is known as the Cattle Capital. Its area is , and its population is 35,121 inhabitants (2020 estimate). The town's economy is based in three field: Wood extraction, cattle rearing and agriculture. However, the wood is coming to an end. Because of that, the development has become slow in this place. Juara is situated about 730 km from the state capital which is Cuiabá, there are two highways of which one is MT 338 that links Juara to Cuiabá and the other is MT 220 that links Juara to Sinop. In the last years many people have moved away because of the lack of jobs and education. The students who want to go to a good college have to move to other cities, they usually move to Sinop or Cuiabá.
