Mirasgar Seyidov
Mirasgar Mirabdulla oglu Seyidov ( az, Mirəsgər Mirabdulla oğlu Seyidov) (6 February 1970 – 14 June 1992) - National Hero of Azerbaijan was born on February 6, 1970, in the Qaraxanbəyli village of the Nakhchivan city of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. Life Mirasgar Seyidov worked in his own village after finishing secondary school in 1987. He returned to Nakhchivan after being dismissed from the Soviet Army in 1990. In Battles The First Nagorno-Karabakh War did not pass by Nakhchivan either. Armenian forces started attacking villages of Nakhchivan constantly. But all the attacks were prevented by the voluntary self-defense groups and Mirasgar Seyidov was one of them who voluntarily enlisted in the self-defense battalion of Yuxarı Buzqov village. He was fighting within this battalion. He showed extreme courage in all the battles. His last battle took place on the 14th of June, 1992. Qaraxanbəyli, Nakhchivan
Qaraxanbəyli (also, Garakhanbayli, Karakhanbeyli and Karakhan-begly) is a village and municipality in the Nakhchivan city of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Azerbaijan. It is located in the south of the city of Nakhchivan, next to it. The international railway of Azerbaijan used to be passed through the village. Its population is busy with grain-growing, vegetable-growing, animal husbandry, fruit-growing and horticulture. There are secondary school, club, library, cultural center and a medical center in the village. It has a population of 2,397. Etymology The settlement was founded by the tribe of ''Qaraxanbəyli'' of Turkic Kengerlis. In the middle of the 18th century, a part of the ''qaraxanbəyli'' tribe has been resettled in the Karabakh Khanate by the Panah Ali Khan. First Nagorno-Karabakh War
The First Nagorno-Karabakh War, referred to in Armenia as the Artsakh Liberation War ( hy, Արցախյան ազատամարտ, Artsakhyan azatamart) was an ethnic and territorial conflict that took place from February 1988 to May 1994, in the enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh in southwestern Azerbaijan, between the majority ethnic Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh backed by Armenia, and the Republic of Azerbaijan. National Hero Of Azerbaijan
The National Hero of Azerbaijan ( az, Azərbaycan milli qəhrəmanı) is the highest Hero (title), national title in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The title was named on 25 March 1992, and the "Qizil Ulduz" Medal awarded as a sign of receiving this title was established by a separate law in 15 July 1992. The law on the title has been in effect since 25 December 1995. It can only be awarded once to the same person.
