Mick Gleeson
Michael Gleeson (born 1946 in Killarney, County Kerry) is an Irish politician and former sportsperson. Sporting career He played Gaelic football with his local club Spa and was a member of the Kerry senior inter-county team from 1969 until 1972. He was also a member of the Kerry junior team and won an All-Ireland Junior Football Championship medal in 1967. He won 3 Kerry Senior Football Championships, a Munster Senior Club Football Championship and an All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship with East Kerry. With Spa he won 7 East Kerry Senior Football Championship titles and a County Intermediate Football Championship. During his college days in Dublin he won a Dublin Under 21 Football Championship with Erins Hope in 1966. He later played with UCD and won a Sigerson Cup with them. Spa GAA
Spa GAA is a Gaelic football club based in Tullig, Killarney in County Kerry, Ireland. Founded in 1948, the club gets its name from a spa well in the townland of Tullig close to Killarney. The club won the Munster Intermediate Club Football Championship in 2009. History The club gets its name from the Spa Well, a source of water with reputed health giving properties, which is situated on the road side in the townland of Tullig, approximately three miles from Killarney town centre. The well was popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, when the people of Killarney often took the mineral-rich water as a cure for various ailments. Spa GAA Club was founded in 1948, and has since grown to have over 500 members. The club's colours are blue and gold. The catchment area of the club is Killarney Parish. Donie O'Sullivan (Gaelic Footballer)
Donie O'Sullivan (; born 1940) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for the Spa club and at senior level for the Kerry county team between 1962 and 1975. He was the recipient of Kerry's first All Star Award in 1971, a feat he repeated in 1972. In 2019, he was inducted into Munster GAA's "hall of fame".
