Tom Prendergast (Kerry Footballer)
Tom Prendergast (born 1943 in Castlemaine, County Kerry) is an Irish former sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with his local club Keel and was a member of the Kerry county team at senior level in the 1960s and 1970s. He won the Texaco Footballer of the Year in 1970. During the 1960s he also played with Wicklow, Donegal and Cork. At club level with Keel he won a Kerry Intermediate Football Championship, Kerry Junior Football Championship and a number of Mid Kerry Senior Football Championship, he also won a Kerry Senior Football Championship with Mid Kerry. The keel is the bottom-most longitudinal structural element on a vessel. On some sailboats, it may have a hydrodynamic and counterbalancing purpose, as well. Paudie O'Donoghue
Paudie O'Donoghue (1944–2008) was an Irish sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with his local club Ballylongford and was a member of the Kerry senior inter-county team from 1964 until 1974. Club O'Donoghue played his club football with both Ballylongford and Shannon Rangers. It was a very successful time for both sides during his career. He won his first Kerry Senior Football Championship title in 1964 when the North Kerry side overcame East Kerry in the final. They would later go on to win the first ever Munster Senior Club Football Championship by beating Clare champions Cooraclare. He lined out in a second final in 1971 where Rangers lost out to Mid Kerry. The following season O'Donoghue and co qualified for another final where they again faced Mid Kerry, the result went the way of the North Kerry side as O'Donoghue picked up his second county title as was also the side captain. Michael Gleeson (born 1946 in Killarney, County Kerry) is an Irish politician and former sportsperson. Sporting career He played Gaelic football with his local club Spa and was a member of the Kerry senior inter-county team from 1969 until 1972. He was also a member of the Kerry junior team and won an All-Ireland Junior Football Championship medal in 1967. He won 3 Kerry Senior Football Championships, a Munster Senior Club Football Championship and an All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship with East Kerry. With Spa he won 7 East Kerry Senior Football Championship titles and a County Intermediate Football Championship.
