Michael Bruun (musician)
Michael Bruun (born 8 October 1970) is a Danish handballer and current handball coach. He has previously the goalkeeper of Danish Handball League side Holstebro Håndbold. Bruun has made 92 appearances for the Danish national handball team, most notably participating in the 2002 European Men's Handball Championship, in which he won the bronze medal with the Danish team. He retired in 2012. After his retirement from playing handball, he has acted as goalkeeping coach for numerous Danish clubs as well as the Denmark Women's national team since 2018. Handball Goalkeeper
The handball goalkeeper is the most defensive player of their team. Their main task is to prevent the other team from scoring a goal. Equipment To avoid confusion, a handball goalkeeper has to wear a jersey that is different in colour to all the other jerseys of the players on the field, including the other team's goalkeeper. If such a jersey is not available the goalkeeper has to wear a bib that guarantees sufficient distinction between players involved. Most goalkeepers also wear special long trousers and male goalkeepers always wear a jockstrap (an undergarment serving protection purposes). Rule 4:9 (concerning equipment during the game) states that it is mandatory for the players to wear sports shoes during the games. Unlike in football, handball goalkeepers do not equip with gloves. SG Flensburg-Handewitt is a professional handball club from Flensburg and Handewitt in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Currently, they compete in the Handball-Bundesliga and EHF European League. Holstebro Håndbold is a women's handball club in the Bambusa Kvindeligaen from Holstebro, Denmark. Their home matches are played in Gråkjær Arena. The Danish Men's Handball League, formerly known as Herrehåndboldligaen is the men's top Danish professional handball league. The winners of the Danish Men's Handball League are recognised as the Danish men's handball champions. The current champions are GOG Håndbold. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team.
