Skive is a town in Skive municipality ( Danish, ''Skive Kommune'') in Region Midtjylland at the base of Salling Peninsula, a part of the larger Jutland peninsula in northwest Denmark. Christen Dalsgaard
Christen Dalsgaard (30 October 1824 – 11 February 1907) was a Danish painter, a late student of Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg. Biography Early life and education Christen Dalsgaard was born on 30 October 1824. He was the son of the owner of the estate, Krabbesholm Manor, located near Skive, Denmark, Skive in Jutland. He showed early signs of artistic talent, and received training as a craft painter. In the spring of 1841 Niels Rademacher, a visiting landscape painter, encouraged the young artist and convinced his parents of their son's talent. Later that year he traveled to Copenhagen and began his art studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Art (''Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi'') in October 1841. Timothy Jacob Jensen (born 27 April 1962) is a Danish industrial designer. He was best known as CEO and Chief Designer of Jacob Jensen Design (Scandinavia’s oldest design studio) from 1990 to 2018. Skyr ( ; ) is a traditional Icelandic cultured dairy product. It has the consistency of strained yogurt, but a milder flavor. Jeppe Aakjær
Jeppe Aakjær (10 September 1866 – 22 (23) April 1930) was a Danish poet and novelist, a member of the ' Jutland Movement' in Danish literature". A regionalist, much of his writings was about his native Jutland. He was known for writings that reflected his concern for the impoverished and for describing rural existence. Biographical information Jeppe was born on 10 September 1866 in Fly, Jutland, a small village near Skive. He came from a large family as he was one of eight, born to Jens Peder Jensen and Catherine Marie. His father was a farmer and Jeppe at a young age learned the family trade. Cheese
Cheese is a type of dairy product produced in a range of flavors, textures, and forms by coagulation of the milk protein casein. Atelier Bow-Wow is a Tokyo-based architecture firm, founded in 1992 by Yoshiharu Tsukamoto and Momoyo Kaijima. The firm is well known for its domestic and cultural architecture and its research exploring the urban conditions of micro, ad hoc architecture. Founders Yoshiharu Tsukamoto was born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1965. He studied architecture at Tokyo Institute of Technology, graduating from his undergraduate degree in 1987. Krabbesholm Højskole is a folk high school founded in 1885, located in Skive, Denmark, Skive, Denmark that caters to students from several nations. Fur (island)
Fur (alternative older spelling: Fuur) is a Danish island in the Limfjord. It is located just north of Salling peninsula in Skive municipality. As of 2025, the island covers an area of 21.8 km2 and has a total population of 732. The village of Nederby is the largest town on the island. The island is linked to the mainland through a 24-hour ferry, the Sleipner-Fur ferry, sailing from Branden. The crossing of the Fur Strait takes 3–4 minutes. In 2010, readers of the Danish newspaper ''Kristeligt Dagblad'' voted for Fur as "Denmark's most wonderful island", ahead of Læsø and Ærø. Fur Museum
The Fur Museum is a nationally recognized local natural history museum in Denmark. The museum is named after the Danish island Fur on which it is located. When the museum was founded in 1954, the focus was on the local history of the island. In 1957, the leader of Fur Museum found the fossil of a big leatherback turtle, and the focus of the museum shifted towards geology and natural history.
