Melodifestivalen 1983
Sweden used a national preselction called ''Melodifestivalen 1983'' to select an entry for the 28th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Winner, being the first participant ever to get maximum points from all of the eleven juries, was the 17-year-old and then unknown Carola Häggkvist, who quickly went on to be one of Sweden's most popular singers. The song she competed with was called " Främling". It was written by Lasse Holm and Monica Forsberg, who had also written the previous winning song together. Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1983 Melodifestivalen 1983 was the selection for the 23rd song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. Gert Anders Glenmark (born 20 November 1953) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, musician and record producer. He is the brother of singer Karin Glenmark and nephew of band leader Bruno Glenmark. Career Among the artists for whom Glenmark has written and produced are Eva Dahlgren, Orup, Ted Gärdestad, and Patrik Isaksson. Ingela Birgitta "Pling" Forsman (born 26 August 1950 in , Sweden) is a Swedish lyricist in popular music. As a student Forsman attended the Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm. 1981–2009, 33 of her songs have competed in the Swedish Melodifestivalen, three of them winners: ''Bra vibrationer (song), Bra vibrationer'' (1985), ''Se på mej'' (1995) and ''Kärleken är'' (1998). John Ballard (record Producer)
John Ballard (born 14 April 1951) is a Scottish singer-songwriter and record producer, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he has a recording studio (Tuff Studios). At Tuff Studios he has produced amongst others, Ace of Base (their first three albums), as well as co-writing some of their songs.
