Melissa Gohing
Melissa "Mel" Gohing-Nacino (born October 22, 1991) is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She is playing for the Creamline Cool Smashers in the Premier Volleyball League. Personal life Born in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, to a family of Filipino, Chinese and Spanish ancestry. She's the third among five kids, has one brother and three sisters. Early in her childhood, she already exhibited signs of being a fashionista. Her mom said, when she was in preschool, she always wants to wear footwear that matches her dress (it must be color coordinated). She attended preschool in Tay Tung High School. She transferred to Hope Christian High School during her elementary years, where she joined the Chinese folk dance troupe and street dance group. She studied at De La Salle University for college. UAAP Season 71
UAAP Season 71 was the 2008–2009 season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. The University of the Philippines (UP) hosted this season, which coincided with the centennial anniversary of the University's establishment. It opened on July 5, 2008 with an elaborate ceremony held at the Araneta Coliseum. Universal rules *Two-round eliminations, the top 4 teams enter the semifinals, with the top 2 seeds possessing the twice-to-beat advantage. 2015 PSL Grand Prix Conference
The 2015 PSL Grand Prix was the second indoor conference of the Philippine Super Liga for its third season. The conference began on October 10, 2015, at the Alonte Sports Arena, in Biñan, Laguna. Stav Jacobi, FIVB Executive Council member and chief organizer of the FIVB World Women's Club Volleyball Championship, was the guest of honor for the opening ceremony, while Prajaya Chaiyakam, the deputy managing director of SMMTV, Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC)'s official TV partner, and his cameraman went to Cuneta Astrodome to witness Game 1 of the PSL Finals. UAAP Season 74 Volleyball Tournaments
The seniors' division of the UAAP Season 74 volleyball tournaments opened November 26, 2011. Tournaments are hosted by Ateneo de Manila University. Tournament games are held at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City. Usually held in the first semester, the UAAP Board decided to move the juniors' division tournaments on the second semester of the school year. In boys' tournament, the NU Bullpups and UST Tiger Cubs, which are tied at second place, played for the #2 seed with the latter winning the playoff. UE Junior Spikers successfully defended their title after beating UST in the finals. UE was awarded their tenth and eighth consecutive UAAP boys' volleyball championship. The seniors' division of the UAAP Season 71 volleyball tournaments opened December 6, 2008. Tournament host will be Far Eastern University. Tournament games will be at the Far Eastern University Gym and The Arena in San Juan. The juniors' division tournaments were held on the first semester of the 2008-09 school year; the UE Pages and the UST Lady Tiger Cubs won all of their elimination round games in their respective divisions to clinch the championship outright.
