Melaka Gateway
Melaka Gateway ( zh, c=马六甲皇京港) was an off-shore development of artificial islands in Malacca, Malaysia. It was launched on 7 February 2014 by Malaysia's Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak, witnessed by Malacca Chief Minister Idris Haron. It was expected to be open in 2018 and finished completely by 2025. In November 2020, the project was reported as scrapped by the State government stating that the developer of the Melaka Gateway project has failed to complete the reclamation works after three years as contracted. Malaccan Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali was quoted as saying the Melaka Gateway project will not be abandoned but will be taken over by a new developer saying "The development will continue, but we have some technical issues that we need to fix." Melaka Gateway Proposed
Malacca ( ms, Melaka) is a state in Malaysia located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, next to the Strait of Malacca. Its capital is Malacca City, dubbed the Historic City, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008. The state is bordered by Negeri Sembilan to the north and west and Johor to the south. The exclave of Tanjung Tuan also borders Negeri Sembilan to the north. Portuguese Settlement, Malacca
The Portuguese Settlement (Saint John's Village; pt, Aldeia de São João; ms, Kampung St. John, Kampung Portugis) is an area of Ujong Pasir in, Malacca, Malaysia, which serves as a home for the Kristang people. The Kristang people are a Malaysian ethnic group with mixed Portuguese and Malay heritage, originating from the time of the Portuguese rule in Malacca (16th to 17th century). In 1933, 11 hectares of land at Malacca were purchased with the purpose of creating a haven for the scattered Kristang people. The swampy land was cleared and 10 wooden houses with earth floors and attap roofs were built. Saint John's village, as that simple fishing village was originally known, soon attracted additional Kristang from other areas of Malacca, and grew to become one of Malacca's main tourist attractions, improving the standard of living of its villagers. Forest City (Johor)
Forest City is an integrated residential development and private town located on the slopes of Gelang Patah, Johor Bahru District, Johor, Malaysia on 1,370 hectares. Announced in 2006 as a twenty-year project, the project was pitched under China's Belt and Road Initiative. It was opened by then Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak in 2016, with the approval of the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ismail. Forest City in Johor is in partnership with Esplanade Danga 88, an affiliate of the Johor People's Infrastructure Group (KPRJ), through a joint venture, Country Garden Holding Ltd (CGPV), with CGPV holding 60 percent of shares, while KPRJ holds the other 40 percent. Malacca Island ( ms, Pulau Melaka) is a man-made island in Malacca, Malaysia. It is part of the “Twin Island City Centre” project undertaken by Pulau Kembar Sdn Bhd., a subsidiary of Talam Corporation Berhad. This waterfront development project involves the reclamation of two islands, approximately 0.5 km off the coast of Malacca City measuring 40ha and 50ha respectively. A megaproject is an extremely large-scale investment project. Arab City Melaka
Arab City Melaka was a commercial development project in Malacca Island, Malacca, Malaysia. It was a joint venture between Golden Corporate Heritage Sdn Bhd (GCH) and Malacca's state company. The project, considered "the first ever in the world", were billed at RM 1 Billion but has since been placed on hold. Initially, the project was planned to be situated in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur in 2007. However, an attractive offer from Malacca's Chief Minister led to the project to be moved to the state. According to the President of GCH, Sheikh Saleh Al Mansour said that the project is already marketed in 20 countries Arab. To begin with, GCH has released an initial investment of RM 400 million. The Rakyat Post (TRP) is a digital media company in Malaysia. It was founded in 2013, but ceased operations as a news portal in 2016. In April 2019, it was relaunched as a non-news media organisation under different ownership and management.
