Malacca Island
Malacca Island ( ms, Pulau Melaka) is a man-made island in Malacca, Malaysia. It is part of the “Twin Island City Centre” project undertaken by Pulau Kembar Sdn Bhd., a subsidiary of Talam Corporation Berhad. This waterfront development project involves the reclamation of two islands, approximately 0.5 km off the coast of Malacca City measuring 40ha and 50ha respectively. The reclamation of the first island of 40ha and a 30m bridge linking to the mainland had been completed. Malacca
Malacca ( ms, Melaka) is a state in Malaysia located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, next to the Strait of Malacca. Its capital is Malacca City, dubbed the Historic City, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008. The state is bordered by Negeri Sembilan to the north and west and Johor to the south. The exclave of Tanjung Tuan also borders Negeri Sembilan to the north. Malacca Straits Mosque
Malacca Straits Mosque ( ms, Masjid Selat Melaka) is a mosque located on the man-made Malacca Island in Malacca City, Malacca, Malaysia, which was opened on 24 November 2006 by the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia (Yang di-Pertuan Agong) Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail and was constructed with a cost of about MYR10 million. It was built using the mix of Middle Eastern and Malay craftsmanship and looks like a floating structure when the water level is high. Its structure has two intersecting archways lead to the main entrance and stained glass which covers the space in between the arches. Arab City Melaka
Arab City Melaka was a commercial development project in Malacca Island, Malacca, Malaysia. It was a joint venture between Golden Corporate Heritage Sdn Bhd (GCH) and Malacca's state company. The project, considered "the first ever in the world", were billed at RM 1 Billion but has since been placed on hold. Initially, the project was planned to be situated in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur in 2007. However, an attractive offer from Malacca's Chief Minister led to the project to be moved to the state. According to the President of GCH, Sheikh Saleh Al Mansour said that the project is already marketed in 20 countries Arab. To begin with, GCH has released an initial investment of RM 400 million. Melaka Gateway
Melaka Gateway ( zh, c=马六甲皇京港) was an off-shore development of artificial islands in Malacca, Malaysia. It was launched on 7 February 2014 by Malaysia's Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak, witnessed by Malacca Chief Minister Idris Haron. It was expected to be open in 2018 and finished completely by 2025. In November 2020, the project was reported as scrapped by the State government stating that the developer of the Melaka Gateway project has failed to complete the reclamation works after three years as contracted. Malaccan Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali was quoted as saying the Melaka Gateway project will not be abandoned but will be taken over by a new developer saying "The development will continue, but we have some technical issues that we need to fix."
