''Mee Ishq'' is a 2024 Maldivian film written and directed by Azhan Ibrahim. Produced by Leenaz Hussain, the film stars Sharaf Abdulla and Aminath Rashfa in pivotal roles. The film was released on 6 January 2024. Premise The film centers around Ariz and Saba, who cross paths during their separate journeys to K. Maaufshi, where they coincidentally book the same room in a guesthouse. The trip transforms into a memorable experience as it sparks a romantic connection between them. However, after the journey, Saba loses all contact with Ariz. The film unfolds the narrative of how destiny reunites them and how fate intertwines their lives with misfortune. Sharaf Abdulla
Sharafudheen Abdulla (born 4 August 1991), commonly known as Sharaf Abdulla, is a Maldivian film actor. Career After completing his education in his homeland, R. Meedhoo, Abdulla relocated to Male' in 2010, in search of a job opportunity. After working at several jobs, he joined a local television channel VTV, where he featured in a drama series developed by VTV. His talent was noticed by director Ilyas Waheed, who offered him to play a significant role for his upcoming venture. Abdulla's first project was Waheed's crime thriller ''Nina'', where he was roped in to play the lead role against Nuzuhath Shuaib. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release of the film got delayed indefinitely making the path for his other releases. Aminath Rashfa commonly known as Aashaa (born 16 September 1998) is a Maldivian film actress. Career After completing a diploma in aviation from a Sri Lankan-based institution, Rashfa moved back to Male' and was influenced by the TikTok trend, where she became an active TikTok user, which enabled her to showcase her talent as a performer. She was then offered to play a supporting tole in Ahmed Sinan-directed crime thriller ''Goh Raalhu'' (2019) which centers around the criminality and misdemeanor a young man has to deal with while trying to prove his truest intention of love. Maafushi (Kaafu Atoll)
Maafushi (Dhivehi: މާފުށި) is one of the inhabited islands of Kaafu Atoll and the proposed capital for the Medhu Uthuru Province of the Maldives. It is noted for the Maafushi Prison. History Maafushi was heavily damaged by the 2004 tsunami which impacted on over 100,000 of the Maldives 300,000 population. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, supported by the Irish and American Red Cross Societies, began work on a mains sewage system on 10 August 2006. Ahmed Sharif (born 31 August 1991) is a Maldivian film actor. Career Prior to acting, Sharif was more involved in the creative departments of the film where he served as a foley artist and a boom operator in Aishath Rishmy's romantic film '' Bos'' (2017). Impressed with the poster of ''Ehenas'' and thinking its a horror film, he contacted its casting director Rishmy who invited him to the audition of the series, where he was ultimately selected to play the role of Shinaz, a violent and short-tempered brother. Aminath Rasheedha (born 27 February 1967) is a Maldivian actress and director. Career 1993–2006: Early releases and directorial debut In 1995, Rasheedha appeared in Mohamed Shiyaz's '' Dhushman'' which features Hussain Sobah, Mariyam Nisha and Hamid Ali in pivotal roles. In the film, she plays the role Seema, a sympathetic doctor who falls in love with a blind man. Mohamed Rasheed (2 April 1964), professionally known as Dharaa Rasheed, is a Maldivian film actor, cinematographer, producer and director. Early life At the age of twelve, Rasheed along with his friends, Sodhiq and Kashima Ahmed Shakir, used to spend most of their times at his place, singing, playing table tennis and undertake Urdu classes. Aishath Maain Rasheed (2 November 1992) is a Maldivian singer. Early life At the age of seven, Maain's interest in music grew as she observes her father, Ibrahim Rasheed, working as a mentor to the students of MES Malé English School, participating in Television Maldives Interschool Singing Competition. Mohamed Abdul Ghanee
Mohamed Abdul Ghanee (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Theyravaa is a Maldivian singer and songwriter. Early life and career Born to a musical family, Ghanee had no interest in music even when his siblings spend their time in jamming and singing. While studying at Madhrasathul Ifthithaah, he participated in the Inter-house singing competition, on a request by his elder brother.
