Mecha Love
"Mecha Love" is the first single by British grime band Hadouken! from their third studio album ''Every Weekend''. It was released on 18 October 2010. Background The band had confirmed several times earlier that they had started work on their third album and that they were demoing tracks. They later stated they had recorded two songs to be released as singles (Mecha Love and Oxygen) before they headed to the studio to record the rest of the album. The song made its radio debut on Radio 1, where it was played by Nick Grimshaw after a chat with James Smith. He then posted the link to the music video on his Facebook page. Music video The video for Mecha Love was published to YouTube through Hadouken!'s channel on 5 October 2010. Hadouken! (band)
Hadouken! are a British band formed in London in 2006 by singer, writer and producer James Smith and synth player Alice Spooner along with guitarist Daniel "Pilau" Rice, bassist Christopher Purcell and drummer Nick Rice. The band name is taken from the special attack of the same name from the ''Street Fighter'' video game series. It was in Leeds that Hadouken! began their own record label, Surface Noise Records. History Early years After forming the label, Smith began writing and demoing the first Hadouken! tracks. In February 2007, Hadouken! self-released a two-song limited edition vinyl, a double-a side of "That Boy That Girl" and "Tuning In". The is a special attack from Capcom's ''Street Fighter'' series of fighting games. Game designer Takashi Nishiyama credits an energy attack called Hadouho (lit. the "Wave Motion Gun"), from the 1970s anime ''Space Battleship Yamato'', as the origin of Hadouken. It is used by the characters Ryu, Ken, Sakura, Akuma (Gouki in Japan) and Gouken. The Hadouken and the Shoryuken are the two archetypal moves of these characters, as well as some of the most iconic and famous elements of the ''Street Fighter'' series or even video games in general. Appleseed (2004 Film)
is a 2004 Japanese animated post-apocalyptic action film directed by Shinji Aramaki and based on the '' Appleseed'' manga created by Masamune Shirow. It features the voice acting of Ai Kobayashi, Jūrōta Kosugi, Mami Koyama, Yuki Matsuoka, and Toshiyuki Morikawa. The film tells the story of Deunan Knute, a former soldier, who searches for data that can restore the reproductive capabilities of bioroids, a race of genetically engineered clones. Although it shares characters and settings with the original manga, this film's storyline is a re-interpretation, not a true adaptation. Mecha
In science fiction, or mechs are giant robots or machines controlled by people, typically depicted as humanoid walking vehicles.
