Matthias Strolz
Matthias Strolz (born 10 June 1973) is an Austrian politician. He is the founder of the political party NEOS – The New Austria and Liberal Forum and was its first leader and a member of Austria's National Council from 29 October 2013 until 26 September 2018. Education and career Matthias Strolz was born on 10 June 1973 in Bludenz, a district capital in Vorarlberg, and grew up in Wald am Arlberg, part of the town of Dalaas, in the Klostertal. In 1991, Strolz completed the Matura at the Bundesgymnasium Bludenz. During his school years, from 1990 to 1991, he was Landesschulsprecher of Vorarlberg. Subsequently, Strolz began studying international economics and political science at the University of Innsbruck, where he spent a semester abroad at Dublin City University in 1994/95. NEOS – The New Austria And Liberal Forum
NEOS – The New Austria and Liberal Forum (german: NEOS – Das Neue Österreich und Liberales Forum) is a liberal political party in Austria. It was founded as NEOS – The New Austria in 2012. In 2014, NEOS merged with Liberal Forum and adopted its current name. Since 2018, NEOS's chairwoman and parliamentary leader has been Beate Meinl-Reisinger. It is the smallest party in the National Council with 15 seats, and won 8.3% in the 2019 legislative election. NEOS is represented in seven of Austria's nine Landtage, and is involved in government in Salzburg and Vienna. NEOS is a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, and its one MEP sits with the Renew Europe group in the European Parliament. Liesing
Liesing () is the 23rd district of Vienna. It is on the southwest edge of Vienna, Austria. It was formed after Austria's ''Anschluss'' with Germany, when Vienna expanded from 21 districts to 26. Mauer, Vienna
Mauer (German for ''"wall"''; Central Bavarian: ''Maua'') is a former village of Lower Austria that has been part of Vienna since 1938. Today's cadastral community belongs to the 23rd District of Vienna, called Liesing. In the west, Mauer borders the Vienna Woods. History A jasper mine was located in Mauer during the Neolithic. The first official mention of the village dates back to 1210. Wine production began during the Middle Ages, and still continues today. The Society of Jesus controlled the village from 1609 to 1773. Karlheinz Kopf (born 27 June 1957 in Hohenems, Voralberg) is an Austrian politician of the conservative People's Party (ÖVP). From 2013 to 2017, he was Second President of the National Council.
