Shahrdari Varamin Volleyball Club ( fa, باشگاه والیبال شهرداری ورامین, ''Bâshgâh-e Vâlibâl-e Shahrdâri-ye Varâmin'') formerly known as Matin Varamin for sponsorship reasons is a professional volleyball team based in Varamin, Iran. They compete in the Iranian Volleyball Super League. History Establishment Shahrdari Varamin Volleyball Club was founded in 2012 in Varamin, Iran, by the Matin Engineering Company. Matin was placed in the Iranian Super League for the 2012-13 season. 2012–13 In their first season Matin finished 2nd in the league with 42 points thus securing a play-off spot. In the semi-final round Matin defeated Saipa Alborz two games to one and advanced to the final, in which they faced Kalleh. Matin won the first game, but Kalleh bounced back winning the remaining two games and winning the Super League. 2013–14 In their second season, Matin again finished second in the league. Varamin (; fa, ورامين, also Romanized as Varāmīn and Verāmin) is a city and capital of Varamin County, Tehran Province, Iran. 2019 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship
The 2019 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship was the tenth edition of the Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship, an annual international volleyball club tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Chinese Taipei Volleyball Association (CTVA). The tournament was held in Taipei, Taiwan, from 18 to 26 April 2019. The champions qualified for the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship. Amir Ghafour ( fa, امیر غفور; born 6 June 1991) is an Iranian volleyball player who plays as an opposite spiker for Iranian club Shahdab Yazd. He is a former member of the Iranian national team. Ahsanollah Shirkavand ( fa, احسن‌الله شیرکوند; born 18 March 1981 in Varamin, Tehran Province) is an Iranian volleyball libero. After playing at the Asian Youth Games, he was invited to the Iran Men's National Volleyball Team and played for it from 1998 to 2000 who finished fourth at the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship.
