Asian Boys' U18 Volleyball Championship
The Asian Boys' U18 Volleyball Championship, formerly known as the Asian Boys' U19 Volleyball Championship, is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the under 19 men's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. Tournaments have been awarded every two years since 1997. The top four teams qualified for the FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship. The current champion is Japan, which won its third title at the 2022 tournament. The 13 Asian Championship tournaments have been won by five different national teams. Iran have won seven times and Japan have won three times. The other Asian Championship winners are Chinese Taipei, South Korea and India, with one title each. Iranian Volleyball Super League
The Iranian Volleyball Super League (IVSL) is a professional volleyball league in Iran at the top of the Iranian volleyball league system. It was founded in 1975 as the Pasargad Cup, but after the Iranian Revolution it was renamed to the first Division. In 1997 the league system was revamped and the Iranian Super League was established. Paykan Tehran has won the most titles in the new Super League with 12 titles. History The first season of a national Iranian volleyball league was held in 1975 with 12 teams competing. In 1976 Esteghlal became the champions for the first time, and they repeated this feat in the following season. In 1979 due to the Iranian Revolution the league was canceled. In 1989, the first Hazfi Cup for Iranian volleyball teams was held, in which Esteghlal became the first champions. The 2014 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship also known as the PLDT HOME Fibr 2014 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship due to sponsorship reasons was the 15th staging of the AVC Club Championships. The tournament was supposed to be held in Vietnam but later withdrew from hosting. The tournament was instead held in Pasay, Philippines from 8 to 16 April 2014.
