Martin Skotnický
Martin Skotnický (born 24 August 1947) is a Slovak ice dancing coach and former competitor for Czechoslovakia. With his sister, Diana Skotnická, he is the 1970 Winter Universiade champion and a five-time Czechoslovak national champion (1970–74). They placed sixth at the 1973 European Championships. Personal life Skotnický was born on 24 August 1947. He has Slovak and French citizenship. He is the brother of Diana Skotnická. He is married to Bruni Skotnicky, who competed in pair skating for Germany as Brunhilde Baßler. Career Competitive Skotnický switched from single skating to ice dancing after a fracture. ISU Figure Skating Championships
The International Skating Union organizes six annual Championships for figure skating. It is at the discretion of each member country which skaters, pairs or synchronized skating teams are sent to which championship. No skater in men's single skating, women's single skating, pair skating and ice dancing can compete at all four competitions in one season, but some skaters have competed at all four over the course of their careers. Kati Winkler
Kati Winkler (born 16 January 1974) is a German former competitive ice dancer. With partner René Lohse, she is the 2004 World bronze medalist and a six-time German national champion. They competed at two Winter Olympics, in 1998 and 2002. Personal life Kati Winkler was born in Karl-Marx-Stadt (now Chemnitz) to Bernd Winkler and Christina Schmerbach and has a sister. She is a skilled clerk. Career Winkler started skating at the age of four after being selected for the sport in kindergarten. At first she was a single skater and was coached by Peter Meyer. While still a single skater she moved to Berlin in 1985 and was coached by Jürgen Bertko there. Alexander Gazsi (born 6 October 1984) is a German ice dancer. With partner Nelli Zhiganshina, he is a six-time German national champion (2007, 2011–2015) and has won twelve international medals. Nelli Nailevna Zhiganshina (russian: Нелли Наильевна Жиганшина; born 31 March 1987) is a Russian-born German ice dancer. She is the elder sister of Ruslan Zhiganshin, who is a competitive ice dancer for Russia. Their mother is a children's skating coach. Zhiganshina passed a German citizenship test in 2011 and filed documents to renounce her Russian citizenship, as required by Germany. Petri Kokko (figure Skater)
Petri Kokko (born 21 February 1966) is a Finnish former competitive ice dancer. He competed with Susanna Rahkamo, his wife. With Rahkamo, he is the 1995 European champion, 1995 World silver medalist, and competed in the Winter Olympics twice. Skating career Initially interested in hockey, Kokko began figure skating at age 14 to improve his skating skills. His first partner was Virpi Kunnas. Christopher Dean
Christopher Colin Dean, OBE (born 27 July 1958) is a British ice dancer who won a gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics with his skating partner Jayne Torvill. They also won a bronze medal at the 1994 Winter Olympics. Early life Dean grew up in Calverton, Nottinghamshire. When he was six, his mother left and his father remarried.
