Martin Lacey
Martin Lacey (born 1942) is a circus ringmaster, company director and trainer of wild animals. He trained most of the tigers that were used in the Esso television advertisements in the 1970s Professional life He has been breeding and training animals including lions, tigers and elephants for over forty years. He is a Government Registered Wild Animal Trainer. In his heyday he appeared in UK television variety shows and was known as the “King Of The Cage” and "the Man Fear Forgot". He provided most of the tigers used in the Esso oil television advertisements up until the 1970s. However, changes in public attitudes to performing animals mean that he has faced criticism in recent years. A book detailing his life was published in 2009: ''My Life With Lions''. Keal Cotes
Keal Cotes, forming part of West Keal parish, is a small linear village in East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated on the A16 road, south from West Keal and 1 mile north from Stickford. The nearest market town is Spilsby, about to the north. Keal Cotes market day is on Mondays. Great British Circus was a company that specialized in circus entertainment. Unusually for a UK-based circus company, it included wild animals such as tigers, camels and lions in its acts. Martin Lacey was the company's owner and Circus Director. In 2012, at the age of 70, he announced he would retire and the Great British Circus would not return for a 2013 season. Freedom for Animals (FFA) is the working name of the Captive Animals' Protection Society, a charity registered in England campaigning to end the display of animals in zoos, and the use of animals in entertainment, such as circuses, the exotic pet trade and the audio-visual industry. History Freedom for Animals was founded as the Captive Animals' Protection Society in 1957 by retired school teacher Irene Heaton, at a time when circuses were at their peak and all had animals. Tiger
The tiger (''Panthera tigris'') is the largest living cat species and a member of the genus '' Panthera''. It is most recognisable for its dark vertical stripes on orange fur with a white underside. Camel
A camel (from: la, camelus and grc-gre, κάμηλος (''kamēlos'') from Hebrew or Phoenician: גָמָל ''gāmāl''.) is an even-toed ungulate in the genus ''Camelus'' that bears distinctive fatty deposits known as "humps" on its back. Camels have long been domesticated and, as livestock, they provide food (milk and meat) and textiles (fiber and felt from hair). ''Billi'' is a 2000 Pakistani Urdu horror film directed by Syed Noor starring Meera, Noor and Saima. This horror film is supposedly based on a true story about a victim turning into a scum-busting avenger. Plot The film opens with a scene where fiery criminal lawyer Meera is being gang-raped to put a rapist behind bars, but the judge rules against her. Though the rapist walks free, is there a power who can save him from the justice of the “Billi” — a shadowy figure dressed in a black cat suit who has taken to the streets at night rounding up all scum and sleaze and dishing out her own brand of justice to chilling effect.
