Marshall White
Marshall White (born April 30, 1982) is an American professional strongman athlete. Personal life Born in Houston, Texas, White lived for a time in Port Angeles, Washington, and in Pagosa Springs, Colorado with his then-wife Rachel, whom he married in 2005 and divorced in 2013. He was a mortician who owned his own funeral home in Colorado, in addition to being an active professional athlete and father. He now resides in the Houston Metro area. Strength sports White played football for his junior high and high school in Texas. After graduating, he joined "The Unit", a Strongman group in Cypress, Texas headed by longtime friend and Strongman Travis Ortmayer. After training with "The Unit" for a year, White applied for a job which would place him in Port Angeles, Washington. 2009 World's Strongest Man
The World's Strongest Man 2009 was the 32nd edition of World's Strongest Man and took place in Valletta, Malta from 26 September to 3 October 2009. It was sponsored by PartyPoker.com. It was anticipated by the strength athletics world as promising to be ''"the best one yet."'' The anticipation was based on the organisers ensuring invites were made to "every top athlete in the world" regardless of their affiliation to any particular strength athletics body. Brian Shaw (born February 26, 1982) is an American professional strongman, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest strength athletes of all-time. He won the 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016 World's Strongest Man competitions, and in 2011, became the first man to win the Arnold Strongman Classic and the World's Strongest Man competitions in the same calendar year, a feat he replicated in 2015. Nick Best (born November 3, 1968) is an American professional strongman competitor and world champion powerlifter. Powerlifting Prior to competing in strongman, Best won the USAPL National Powerlifting Championships in the 125 kg class in 1996 and 1997, as well as the WDFPF World Powerlifting Championships in 1996. Strongman Best holds the International Federation of Strength Athletes world record for the 125 kg, 75 m Farmer's Walk, with a time of 47.3 seconds. He won the All-American Strongman Challenge in 2010, his career best win. This victory qualified him for the 2010 Arnold Strongman Classic, he finished ninth overall in that contest.
