Maromme () is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France. Geography A suburban town of forestry and light industry situated by the banks of the Cailly, just northwest of Rouen city centre, at the junction of the D51, D56, D43 and the D6015 roads. Aimable Pélissier
Aimable-Jean-Jacques Pélissier, 1st Duc de Malakoff (6 November 179422 May 1864), was a Marshal of France. He served in Algeria and elsewhere, and as a general commanded the French forces in the Crimean War. Biography Pélissier was born at Maromme (''Seine Inférieure''), of a family of prosperous artisans, his father being employed in a powder-magazine. After attending the military college of La Flèche and the special school of St Cyr, he entered the army in 1815 as second-lieutenant in an artillery regiment. Brilliant examination results in 1819 secured his appointment to the staff. He served as '' aide-de-camp'' in the Spanish campaign of 1823, and in the Morea expedition 1828–1829. In 1830, he took part in the expedition to Algeria, and on his return was promoted to the rank of ''chef d'escadron''. Cailly (river)
The Cailly () is a river in Normandy, France, in length, flowing through the department of Seine-Maritime. It is a right tributary of the Seine. Geography The Cailly has its source in the territory of the commune of Cailly. Taking a southward journey, it flows through Fontaine-le-Bourg, meeting its principal tributary, the Clérette at Montville. It then flows through Malaunay, Houlme, Notre-Dame-de-Bondeville, Maromme, Déville-lès-Rouen and finally Rouen where it joins the Seine on its right bank. Binche (; wa, Bince; Dutch: ''Bing'') is a city and municipality from Wallonia, in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. Since 1977, the municipality consists of Binche, Bray, Buvrinnes, Épinois, Leval-Trahegnies, Péronnes-lez-Binche, Ressaix, and Waudrez districts.
