Mariya Ocher
Mary Ocher (''"Oh-chur"'', born Mariya Ocheretianskaya on November 10, 1986. Legally changed to Ocher at age 18) is a recording artist, performer, poet, director and visual artist. Music Mary recorded her first song at age 14, produced by Idan Raichel, who later went on to become a successful mainstream world-music producer. In December 2006, she formed the Mary and The Baby Cheeses in Tel Aviv, and in October of the following year, the band moved to Berlin, where in time, the entire line-up would change for a couple of years before disbanding. The band produced several DIY releases, the most notable being a collection of studio recordings titled ''Analog music for a digital generation''. Their tour merchendise included silk screen-printetd socks and b-stock dildos saved from a sex toy manufacturer's dumpster. Fusion Festival
The Fusion Festival is a music and arts festival with a countercultural character. It takes place at a former military airport called Müritz Airpark in Lärz, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in northeastern Germany. The festival name is often depicted in Cyrillic letters as Фузион, but pronounced like the English word fusion []. The annual festival was started by the ''Kulturkosmos'' organisation in 1997. It lasts four to six days, usually at the end of June. In 2016, the Fusion Festival event took place from 29 June to 3 July and which has attracted some 70,000 attendees for each year's festival, since the 2013 event, which the comparable American Burning Man event only matched in 2015. Different musical styles are represented at the festival, but the line up is not released beforehand. Sven Regener
Sven Regener (born 1 January 1961) is a German musician and writer living in Berlin. In 1982 he recorded his first LP with the band ''Zatopek'' and in 1984 he joined ''Neue Liebe''. In 1985 he founded the Berlin band Element of Crime together with Jakob Friderichs. He writes almost all their lyrics as well as playing trumpet. In 2001 he published his first novel, ''Berlin Blues'' (original title ''Herr Lehmann''), which achieved sales of around one million copies. The book takes place in autumn 1989 in Berlin. In 2004, Regener was awarded the Deutscher Filmpreis for the screenplay to the film of the same name (best screenplay that has been turned into a film). His second novel, ''Neue Vahr Süd'', was released in 2004 and follows the life of Frank Lehmann while serving in the Bundeswehr in 1980 in Bremen.
