Sibylle Berg
Sibylle Berg (born 2 June 1962) is a Swiss contemporary author and playwright. They write novels, essays, short fiction, plays, radio plays, and columns. Their 15 books have been translated into 30 languages. They have won numerous awards, including the Thüringer Literaturpreis, the Bertolt-Brecht-Literaturpreis, and the Johann-Peter-Hebel-Preis. They have become an iconic figure in German alternative sub-cultures, gaining a large fan base among the LGBT community and the European artistic communities. They live in Switzerland and Israel. Their 2019 work ''GRM: Brainfuck'', a science fiction novel set in a dystopian near future won the Swiss Book Prize, and reached fourth place on the Spiegel Bestseller list, with the sequel, ''RCE'', entering the list at place 14. Kassel Literary Prize
The Kassel Literary Prize for Grotesque Humor (''Kasseler Literaturpreis für grotesken Humor''), established 1985, is an annual prize awarded by the city of Kassel and the Brückner-Kühner foundation in recognition of "grotesque and comic work" at a high artistic level. Prior to 1996, it was also given to literary professors whose work is connected to this theme. The prize includes an award of 10,000 euros. Else Lasker-Schüler Dramatist Prize
Since 1993, the Else Lasker-Schüler Dramatist Prize (german: Else-Lasker-Schüler-Dramatikerpreis, links=no) has been awarded by the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern on behalf of the Rhineland-Palatinate Foundation for Culture. The prize is named after expressionist poet Else Lasker-Schüler (1869–1945). It is endowed with €10,000, one of the most highly endowed playwright prizes in Germany. Margarete Stokowski
Margarete Stokowski (born April 14, 1986 in Zabrze, Poland) is a Polish-German writer and essayist. She is best known for her weekly essays for the magazine Spiegel Online where she writes about the current state of feminism in Germany. The numbers of clicks on her essays reach up to 900,000. The Süddeutsche Zeitung stated that she is the "loudest voice of German feminism" in 2019. Stokowski advocates freedom for every gender and often criticizes the neo liberal economy for the oppression of women especially, but also men. According to her views, the modern German society often misleads women into buying goods they don't need or being unhappy with their own bodies by setting up impossible-to-reach beauty standards. She states that a non-patriarchal world would be better for everybody and sees the fear of losing power as the main motivation for some people to cling on to patriarchy. Hasko Weber (born 10 December 1963) is a German actor and theatre director. Life Weber was born in Dresden. After his Abitur, he first did an apprenticeship as a machine and plant fitter and then trained as an actor from 1985 to 1989 at the Theaterhochschule Leipzig and at the studio of the Chemnitz municipal theatre. In 1989 he received his first engagement there as an actor and director under artistic director Gerhard Meyer. In the same year, he founded the theatre group "Dramatische Brigade", an independently working group with links to the Schauspielhaus, where Weber gained his first experience as a director.
