Mang Tomas
Mang Tomas (Filipino for "Mr. Tomas") is a condiment brand established by NutriAsia. Its core product is lechon sauce. The brand was developed by Hernan Reyes in the late 1980s after he purchased the lechon sauce recipe of Aling Pitang lechon shop located in Quiapo, Manila. Reyes named his sauce "Mang Tomas Sarsa", after a popular lechon shop located in Santa Mesa, Manila. In 1991, the brand was acquired by Southeast Asia Food, Inc. (SAFI, now NutriAsia). Nutri-Asia, Inc., formerly Southeast Asia Food, Inc., is a Philippine food company and the leading producer of condiment products in the Philippines. Among its best known brands are Datu Puti, Mang Tomas, UFC Catsup and Silver Swan. As of 2019, the company has of a total 116 distributors locally and international. Venancio Johnson Paras Jr. (born October 2, 1968), better known as Benjie Paras, is a Filipino actor, comedian, and a retired professional basketball player who played for Shell Turbo Chargers and San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He is the only PBA player to win both Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player honors, in a single season (1989). As its star center, Paras led the Shell Turbo Chargers to championship titles. André Alonzo Forster Paras (born November 1, 1995) is a Filipino actor, model, dancer, singer, and former professional basketball player. Liver spread is a Filipino canned spread product made from pureed pork, beef, or chicken liver mixed with cereal and/or offal similar to the French pâté and German liverwurst. Santa Mesa is a district in Manila, Philippines. It is surrounded by Pasig River on the southwestern side, and by the San Juan River on its southern and eastern side.
