Mahdi Zein
Mahdi Wissam Zein ( ar, مهدي وسام زين; born 23 May 2000) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Nejmeh and the Lebanon national team. Club career On 29 April 2019, Nejmeh renewed the contract of Zein for five years, renewable for two additional seasons. On 2 April 2021, Zein scored his first senior goal against Shabab Sahel, helping his side win 3–0 in the league. International career Zein represented Lebanon at under-16, under-19 and under-23 levels. His senior debut came on 4 December 2021, as a substitute in a 2–0 defeat to Algeria in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup. On 25 June 2023, Zein scored his first senior international goal in a 4–1 win against Bhutan in the 2023 SAFF Championship. Nejmeh Sporting Club ( ar, نادي النجمة الرياضي, lit=The Star Sporting Club) is a football club based in Manara, a district in Ras Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . The club was established in Beirut in 1945, and received its license in 1947. Nejmeh's board is affiliated with the Future Movement and the Hariri family. Historically, the club is second only to their cross-city rivals Ansar in the Lebanese Premier League and the Lebanese FA Cup. Nejmeh, however, lead in Lebanese Elite Cup titles. Haitham Zein
Haitham Ali Mohamad Al Haj Ali Zein (; born 6 January 1979), or simply Haitham Zein, is a Lebanese former footballer who played as a forward. He played for numerous Lebanese Premier League clubs, mainly at Tadamon Sour, and represented Lebanon internationally. Early life Zein was born in Iraq to parents from Borj Ech Chemali, Lebanon; he began playing football aged 11 in the street. He moved to Lebanon with his family due to the Gulf War. Club career Tadamon Sour Zein signed for Tadamon Sour's youth team in 1994. The 2021 Lebanese Super Cup was the 21st Lebanese Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Lebanese Premier League and Lebanese FA Cup. As Ansar won both competitions in 2021, their opponents were the 2020–21 league runners-up Nejmeh. The match was played at the Fouad Chehab Stadium on 7 August 2021. The 2023 Lebanese Super Cup was the 22nd Lebanese Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Lebanese Premier League and the winners of the previous season's Lebanese FA Cup.
