Magnus Grankvist
Magnus Grankvist (born 3 April 1964) is a Swedish professional golfer and golf coach. He won the 1986 Europcar Cup, a "special event" on the European Tour, and the 1989 SM Match on the Challenge Tour. Career Grankvist was part of the National Team as an amateur. He won the bronze at the 1984 European Youths' Team Championship at Hermitage GC, Ireland with a team that included Jesper Parnevik, Fredrik Lindgren and Johan Ryström. After turning professional, he played on the Swedish Golf Tour, where he won four tournaments, including the SM Match in 1986 and 1989. In 1989, the tournament was part of the Satellite Tour, which soon was renamed the Challenge Tour. In 1986, he finished third on the Swedish Golf Tour Order of Merit, behind Per-Arne Brostedt and Magnus Persson Atlevi. In 1986, he was part of the winning Swedish team at the Europcar Cup together with Anders Forsbrand, Per-Arne Brostedt and Magnus Sunesson. Swedish Golf Federation
The Swedish Golf Federation ( sv, Svenska Golfförbundet, SGF) is the governing body for the sport of golf in Sweden, founded in 1904. The federation is responsible for administering the Rules of Golf, as laid down by The R&A, at the national level. It organizes tournaments, manages the national teams, and promotes the game. As of 2022, the federation organized 448 golf clubs and 505,577 individual members with 536 203 memberships, 74.4% male and 25.6% female. This makes it the third largest sports federation in Sweden in terms of active members, behind association football and athletics in first and second and place. 1989 Challenge Tour
The 1989 Challenge Tour was a series of golf tournaments known as the Challenge Tour, the official development tour run by the PGA European Tour. The tour was started as the Satellite Tour with its first Order of Merit rankings in 1989 and was officially named the Challenge Tour ready for the start of the 1990 season. 2005 Palmer Cup
The 2005 Palmer Cup was held on June 8–9, 2005 on the Irish Course, Whistling Straits, Haven, Wisconsin. The United States won 14 to 10. Format On Wednesday, there were four matches of four-ball in the morning, followed by eight singles matches in the afternoon. Four foursomes matches were played on the Thursday morning with a further eight singles in the afternoon. In all, 24 matches were played. Each of the 24 matches was worth one point in the larger team competition. If a match was all square after the 18th hole, each side earned half a point toward their team total. Wilhelm Schauman (golfer)
Berndt Wilhelm Schauman (8 November 1857 – 14 November 1911) was a Finnish industrialist, the most important in Jakobstad at the beginning of the 20th century. He was the older brother of Ossian Schauman, and a member of the Schauman noble family. Wilhelm Schauman's first industrial installation was a small chicory (coffee additive/substitute) factory, which he founded in 1883. He was also involved in the local tobacco factory as part of the management. Apart from this, he continuously founded new enterprises such as a sugar refinery, a steam-powered saw mill and a plywood factory, which was the first of its kind in Finland. His enterprises soon expanded beyond the borders of Jakobstad. A paper and pulp mill was later built in Jakobstad, and remains today as the largest factory in Jakobstad. Alexander Norén (born 12 July 1982) is a Swedish professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour and the European Tour. He has won ten tournaments on the European Tour, including the BMW PGA Championship, the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, the British Masters, HNA Open de France and the Nedbank Golf Challenge. The European Amateur Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for men organised by the European Golf Association which was introduced in 1959. The championship was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Steven Jeppesen
Steven Svejstrup Jeppesen (born 22 April 1984) is a Swedish professional golfer. Career Jeppesen played for the Swedish National team as an amateur and won on his first outing for the team, the Junior Open Championship at Crail, Scotland, in 2000. He also won the 2001 European Boys' Team Championship, with a team that included Gustav Adell, Robert Svensson, Johannes Andersson, Jonas Blixt and Niklas Lemke.
