Lyon OU
Lyon Olympique Universitaire or LOU is a French rugby union team based in Lyon that currently competes in the Top 14, the highest level of the country's professional league system, having been most recently promoted for the 2016–17 season after winning the 2015–16 title of the second-level Pro D2. The club has bounced between the top two levels in recent years, having also been promoted in 2011 and 2014 and relegated in 2012 and 2015. They were founded in 1896 and play in red and black. In 2011, the team left the Stade Vuillermet to the new Matmut Stadium. In 2017 the team moved to the Matmut Stadium de Gerland. Demba Bamba (born 17 March 1998) is a French rugby union player. His position is prop and he currently plays for Lyon in the Top 14. Early life and education Demba's parents originate from Mauritania and he grew up in the Saint-Denis area of Paris. He played various sports, including handball, when young. Playing career Demba played for the 2019 France U-20 side that won the U-20 World Cup. He was selected for the French squad for the 2 February 2020 game against England in the 2020 Six Nations. Liam James Coltman (born 25 January 1990) is a New Zealand rugby union player who plays as a hooker for in New Zealand's domestic National Provincial Championship (NPC) and the in the international Super Rugby competition. Coltman has also previously captained Otago in the NPC, and has played eight tests for the All Blacks, New Zealand's international rugby team, since his debut in 2016. 2022–23 Top 14 Season
The 2022–23 Top 14 competition is the 124th French domestic rugby union club competition operated by the Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR). Teams Fourteen clubs will compete in the 2022-23 Top 14 season, 13 of them returning. Biarritz were relegated to Pro D2 after finishing at the bottom of the table the previous season. Bayonne is the sole promoted club, finishing second in the Pro D2 the previous season and winning the Pro D2 playoffs. Perpignan, which finished 13th in the previous Top 14 season, defeated Mont-de-Marsan in the relegation playoffs to retain their place.
