Lonnie Gordon
Lonnie Gordon (born November 8, 1965, Philadelphia) is an American female dance, pop and Contemporary R&B, R&B singer and songwriter. She scored several record chart, chart hit record, hits during the 1990s, most notably for her 1990 United Kingdom, UK top 10 single ''Happenin' All Over Again''. Early life and career Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Gordon moved to the Bronx at an early age. In the early 1980s, she started performing around the Harlem area in clubs as the lead singer of a band called Nythjar. After meeting her husband, she relocated to England in the late 1980s, and retired from the music scene to take care of her daughter Rikki. Gordon resumed her singing career in 1988 singing lead vocals for club-oriented acts such as Offshore, Deja Vu and most notably, House ensemble Quartzlock, releasing the singles "No Regrets", "Love Eviction" and "You Make Loving Fun". "If I Have to Stand Alone" is a song by American Hi-NRG and House music, house singer Lonnie Gordon, released in November 1990 as the fourth and last single from her debut album If I Have to Stand Alone, by the same name (1990). Like the other tracks, it was written and produced by English songwriting and record producing trio Stock Aitken & Waterman, and a black-and-white music video was produced to promote the single. In spite of good critical reception, "If I Have to Stand Alone" did not manage to become a hit, remaining at the bottom of the charts in the countries where it was released. "He Lives in You" is a song written and performed by Lebo M. and his South African Choir for ''Rhythm of the Pride Lands'', an album inspired by the film ''The Lion King''. ''Bad Mood'' is the second album by musician Lonnie Gordon. It was released in 1993 on SBK/EMI Records. The album is her most commercially successful to date. It was produced primarily by the group Black Box. The album includes the hit singles " Gonna Catch You" (originally released in 1991), "Happening All Over Again" (a 1993 remix of her 1990 hit), "Bad Mood" and "Do You Want It?". It includes covers of Gloria Gaynor's hit "I Will Survive" and Donny Hathaway's " Little Ghetto Boy". Three of its singles, "Gonna Catch You", "Bad Mood" and "Happenin' All Over Again '93", all peaked at #1 on the U.S. Dance charts. SBK Records was a record label, owned by Universal Music Group, that was currently part of the Capitol Music Group, where it is in hibernation. The label was founded in 1988 and during its time in activity existed as part of the EMI Group. History Stephen Swid, Martin Bandier and Charles Koppelman formed SBK Entertainment in 1989 after they purchased the music publishing division of CBS Records, CBS Songs, in 1986 for $125 million. Black Box is an Italian house music group popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The group is currently made up of DJ Daniele Davoli, classically trained clarinet teacher Valerio Semplici, keyboardist and electronic musician Mirko Limoni, and vocalist Celestine Walcott-Gordon. Italo House
Italo house (often simply referred to as "Italian" or "Italian house" in the UK) is a form of house music originating in Italy. Typically popular in Italy, Britain, and United States since the late 1980s, it fuses house music and Italo disco.
