Guru ( sa, गुरु, IAST: ''guru;'' Pali'': garu'') is a Sanskrit term for a "mentor, guide, expert, or master" of certain knowledge or field. In pan-Indian traditions, a guru is more than a teacher: traditionally, the guru is a reverential figure to the disciple (or '' shisya'' in Sanskrit, literally ''seeker f knowledge or truth'' or student, with the guru serving as a "counselor, who helps mold values, shares experiential knowledge as much as literal knowledge, an exemplar in life, an inspirational source and who helps in the spiritual evolution of a student". Gurdwara Sahib Klang
Gurdwara Sahib Klang is a Sikh gurdwara located in the town of Klang in Selangor, Malaysia. It was constructed between November 1993 and late 1995. The total cost of the building was nearly RM 2,000,000 and out of which RM 100,000 was donated by the Prime Minister's Department. Guru Nanak Darbar, Dubai
The Guru Nanak Darbar is a Sikh gurdwara (place of worship) at Jebel Ali Village in Dubai, founded in 2012 to serve over 50,000 Sikh residents in the emirate. The community-run gurdwara is the first official Sikh temple in the GCC region and the Middle East, and it was established by Surender Singh Kandhari, a resident of Dubai since 1976. The Guru Nanak Darbar entered in April 2017 the Guinness World Records after it served breakfast to more than 600 people from 101 nationalities. Construction The Guru Nanak Darbar was established on a 120,000-square-feet land. The Gurdwara Sahib is a Sikh place of worship or Gurdwara in Handsworth, Birmingham, England. It was built in the late 1970s under the spiritual guidance of Puran Singh (d. 1983) and the leadership of Norang Singh (d. 1995). The Spiritual leadership of the jatha is now continued through the vision of Mohinder Singh. The gurdwara spans an area of about 25,000 square meters and the building is four stories high. There are five main Darbar Halls and three Langar Halls. There are approximately 100 rooms, most of which are for the sangat who want to stay at the Gurdwara for the night and have facilities for sleeping and washing. Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib
Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib is a Sikh historical shrine situated in Bidar, Karnataka. Gurdwara Nanak Jhira Sahib was built in 1948 and is dedicated to the first Sikh guru, Guru Nanak. Bidar has a very long association with Sikhism as this is the home town of Bhai Sahib Singh, one of the Panj Pyare (five beloved ones), who offered to sacrifice their heads and were later baptised as the first members of the Khalsa. Description The Gurudwara is established in a nice valley, surrounded by laterite hills on three sides. The shrine comprises ''Darbar Sahib'', ''Diwan Hall'' and ''Langar Hall''. Punjabi Bagh is a locality in Delhi, India. It also is one of the three sub-zones of West Delhi. History The land of nearby Madipur village was acquired by government of India for resettlement of refugees from Pakistan.It was previously called '' Refugees colony '', but it was renamed as Punjabi Bagh in 1960.
